Johan De Belser is a respected Champion pigeon racer based in the Antwerp region of Belgium. His speciality is in competing at the highest levels in Provincial and National racing at middle to long distances of 450km to 700km (280 miles to 435 miles). Johan's pigeons regularly finish in the top 10 positions at Provincial and National level. His racing at club level is also against some of Belgiums best - Jos & Jules Engels, Gaston Van De Wouwer,
Van Hove-Uytterhoeven & Win De Troy to name but a few. In 2010 he was Club Champion!

In some cases, it takes experience with your family of birds. Hens tend sometimes to be finer (more refined) in look than young cocks. Sometimes, if it's a sex-linked mating you can tell by color, e.g., any blue cock X any ash-red hen gives 100% blue young hens and 100% ash-red young cocks, etc. Oh, if it lays an egg, it's a hen ;-)

Jayrolkarl- Youll Know When a Pigeon is conditioning by Its Breast. When you separate the feathers from the breast area If The birds Skin is Bright Pink With No White Scale that is called conditioning.
