Probably the coolest video to explain how to use a jogglestick

Also known as a 'Ticking stick'. The more times you draw the outline - the more accurate your final piece...

And if you chicken sh*t you do it on a piece of cheap ply to double check it first! But if your Pete you go right ahead with the $150 x 3/4 marine ply! Cheers Warren. For a great fun skoolie conversion and adventurers follow Scott and Kayleejay on 'rollwithit' they are a lot of fun and the bus design is good.

That Joggle stick is a damn good idea, I always use a grid when making a shape like that, looks like it really works well.

Jogglestick or no, that is one fantastic first shot at fitting a bulkhead.

Interesting. As a engineer I would take the overcomplicated route. Taking a laser measurement tool to map out the complete insides of the boat. Then transferring the measurements to Autodesk. Draw all the bulk heads and interior design in the drawing program. Then print out the templates and transfer them to the ply wood. I think your method is more elegant. I'm sure the boat turns out great :)

That stick is also known as a "ticking stick" or a "tick stick" in carpentry.

Where did Pete learn how to do all this boat building? It's gotta be way beyond nowmal carpentry.

selrod55 regular carpentry and boat building are two completely different things ( many of the tools being the same). I started building boats at age thirteen (54 years ago). Boat building is my first love, but residential construction pays the bills

Neat, a ticking stick. I had to watch because I hadn't heard the term jogglestick.

You know, a schoolbus does afford a bit more space than a V-dub... with a wee bit more push-o-lene of course. Cute kitties. The wheels on the bus go meow meow meow...
