Hi Stephanie and friends. I ordered this bookshelf page and some other bundles from the Etsy seller (PrintablePlans) after getting inspired from your last video. I was very happy with my order and the service. I ran into a problem with my order initially (my issue, not their fault) and they were very responsive and helpful and even resent my order to an alternate email address for me. We corresponded over a couple of days with multiple messages. Just wanted to share my experience for anyone who may be hesitant to order from the shop.
That’s great to hear! I was nervous about recommending them after I heard the potential issues with the shop, but perhaps they are not one of those sketchy shops after all. TFS!
I love history and biography! I tend toward a broader definition of those terms and would include authors like Sebastian Junger within history. The Perfect Storm is fantastic, as is A Death in Belmont. There’s a great collection of oral histories of the Depression by Studs Terkel called Hard Times which I found riveting. Likewise The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw. He also wrote a book about the 60s called Boom! For biography, one you might like is Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas. It’s long, but very good. Or for something shorter, you could try any of the wonderful stories of missionaries: End of the Spear by Steve Saint, God’s Smuggler by Brother Andrew, A Chance to Die by Elisabeth Elliot.
Love your setup, Stephanie.. I started with a Reading journal in 2024 , in. a Dot grid & man, did it get me back into my reading habits. You know how we get thrown off as kids come by, and then it takes a while to rediscover ourselves. My favorite read from 2024 was the 'Wrong place , wrong time' by Gillian McCallister.
It sounds like you had a great year of reading! Glad to hear you're back at it. I read Wrong Place, Wrong Time a couple years ago and really liked the storytelling back to front. ☺️👍
Love it! This will be the 2nd year of having a Reading Journal. Last year, I taught myself how to plan and design my own printables (thank you for the inspiration). I loved how my journal came out. I re-printed the pages for 2025 with minor adjustments from last year. In the past, I was able to read ~20-25 books per year. Last year, I blew that out of the water! I managed to read 64 books!!!! The Reading Journal was the only planner I managed to maintain all year long.
😂 I feel ya on those dense reads…audiobooks were a game changer for me! I listen while I’m decorating my planner, out on walks, cleaning, etc. Much easier to stay engaged while being active. 😀👍
Hi Stephanie! This year I am going to read more books. For some reason in the past couple of years I haven't been reading any books. I already have finished reading two and am in the middle of my third. I really want to make a tracker and am looking for some ideas. I really like yours TY ❤❤😊
As history is one of my favorite genres I have a couple of recommendations. Being Heumann by Judith Heumann is a great one to expand your knowledge of the disAbility rights movement. The Earl And The Pharaoh by The Countess of Carnarvon is great if you have any interest in ancient Egypt and the romance of discovery. This one is really good, but admittedly the first three chapters are kind of slow, overall a great read however.
I print double sided. The key is to have quality printer paper to not have ghosting/bleeding on the back side. The paper I use is HP Printer Paper Premium 32lb, 8.5x11: amzn.to/2rKM19o It’s very bright and thick enough for double sided printing, however any 100-120gsm paper should work just fine. Hope this helps!
My way is overly complicated using programs like Adobe indesign, so it would not be the most accessible tutorial, if did one. Luckily, there are a number of videos on UA-cam showing you how to go about it.

Lovely idea: book tracker journal 👍
Thank you! 😊

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will add them to my books to read list and see if I can’t tackle one this month!

Sounds like it was a valuable tool for your reading goals! So glad it was a success! 🙌
Love the look of it. I would love to be able to read, but every time I start I fall asleep!! Hehe

Great video! I love to read and I love your reading tracker. Many blessings.
I'm so glad you liked it! Happy reading!

I find that once you start reading again, tracking helps keep the momentum going. Hope you are able to keep up your reading habit!

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I'll definitely check them out.
Hi love your channel … did you pint on the back of your pages or did you print separately and glue pages together so they didn’t fade thru

How do you print the book covers?

First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston?
Yep! I could have looked it up but I was too lazy. 😂 I really liked the writing style in that book.
@squairdplans i added it to my recommendation list.
Hi Stephanie. Read Educated by Tara Westover.
Thanks for the recommendation!
