Fatherhood: Lessons Learned after 1 Year as a Father

Fatherhood is one of the greatest gifts a man can ever be blessed to experience. I remember a nurse telling myself and my son's mother a few hours after she gave birth, about how we had a life before our son, and now we have a new life now that he is here. Having experienced being a parent for a few years now, I can definitely say that the nurse was correct. We certainly are living an entirely different life now as parents and things that once mattered no longer are important. Being a father has taught me a tremendous amount of invaluable lessons that I'll cherish for a lifetime. From don't sweat the small stuff, to living in the moment, to choosing your battles and knowing when to walk away. Our son is the greatest gift anyone could ever dream of and because of him we will forever be thankful to the Lord for His love becomes even more apparent when you understand the love a parent has a for their children.
