Dude, the flat sides go down, and the angled sides are meant to go together. A 45 degree angle olus a 45 degree angle form a 90 degree angle

Did you ever figure out the pat if you lay the padding on the flat side the corner angles line up in seamlessly.

Thanks for watching. I will be honest the way I ended up installing the padding on the video is the best way in my opinion but the way the manufacturer made it is kind of puzzling… lol
