honestly this series is just crazy, im s hyped to see it coming back. Its sad we will most likely never get a full adaptation considering how long it is

Well Telecom is not animating this season , instead it’s Bandai Namco Filmworks (which Sunrise studio belongs to ) they usually have good animations, so I’m hopeful.

This show could be at the top level if they do this right. This season needs at least 30 episodes, it is one of the best arcs in the webtoon along with the hell train.
This season definitely needs 24-25 episodes, return of the Prince and workshop battle arc are 110 chapters, the manhwa chapters are short in tower of god s2, in the first season they adapted 6-7 chapters per episode, they got to adapt 4-5 chapters per episode for season 2, so all the contents of, return of the Prince and workshop battle are adapted. Also we got to remember that there are alot of fights coming up, so season 2 is definitely gonna require more quality than quantity 😂
One of the things you also have to remenber is how massive the chapters got in the midle of season 2. So there's a lot of chapters but also a lot of content in each chapter
The best part about ToG compared to One Piece is that while One Pice will end shortly after the one piece is found, ToG has the possibility to continue after they beat Zahard and find out why he locked the higher floors, they can then reach the end of the tower, but even then it can easily continue, because (a theory of mine) bam might become an axis (spoilers for anime readers ig) and the story continues there OR the story continues outside the tower but bam isn't an axis. OR same universe but SIU does a story based on an axis. The SIU universe has so many possibilities to continue after beating the main villain or maybe who knows, rachel becomes the main villain at the end of the tower.

When it comes to world building, I feel like the floors of the tower give a parallel to the islands of one piece and how each arc usually happens on a certain floor/island.
please let all these years of waiting be worth it 🤞🏻 the manhwa was amazing, and could potentially pave the way for more webtoon/manhwa adaptation. Let this be good.

I dropped TOG around the end of the Nest Arc. I got to get back into it, but I was so burnt out, and then my depression hit I just put it on the back burner…. It is hard sometimes, when you enjoy something and then you just don’t. I will try to catch up again, especially if the anime brings back Kevin Penkin.
I remember an animator confirmed they were working on season 2 way back in 2021. I'd love to imagine that means it's gonna come out looking good and be given a good amount of episodes, unlike season 1 where they crammed the entire 80 chapters into 12 episodes. This needs to be 2 cour, and just going off current material, they could easily make 7 2-cour seasons
Hope they roll out more webtoon like season 2 of god of highschool, and even new series like hardcore leveling warrior, lookism and they can even throw true beauty for shoujo.
I started reading tower of god when season 1 of the anime got announced in 2019 and I stopped reading it after this Arc that season 2 is covering ended so I'm going to go back and read the whole thing I hope season 2 is great I'm excited for it too Chibi let's. just see how it plays out.
Tog is goated i stopped at the beginning of s3 but that's a good world to adapted. Solo leveling is enjoyable but tog is on another level. The art fits so well as for animation effects i don't mind as long as i dont get epilepsy. Love the characters and every arc slowly moving to the top of the tower.
As a one piece fan myself, ToG world building is on par with the huge world of OP (including it's political battles and plots) king Zahard / Jahad as the "WG Imu" can also be applied 😂
I started reading the webtoon right after Ep. 4 of S1 happened middle of the crown game and haven’t stopped since 😅 The series is still going on strong and isn’t slowing down anytime soon 🔥 This will definitely be the One Piece of Webtoon mark my words there will easily be over 1000 episodes if a studio that truly cares about the story picks it up 🤞🏽

The first time I came across tog it only had like 100 chapters, though I haven't caught up in a couple years, and going back to reread it kinda sucks because I know all of the basic stuff, but if I don't go back I won't really understand everything, any suggestions for a point to jump back on
Maybe try to watch the anime and then continue with the webtoon? The anime summarized it pretty well. Season 2 of webtoon is good, It probably better if you reread it. Season 3 contained too much flashbacks of side characters, I think it's fine if you skip some of it. I also quick scrolling some fights in season 3 but i can follow the story pretty well.
I hate rachel as a character but I must admit that she is a well written character. Her emotions is just relatable. the envy, the feeling of wanting to be someone special, her denial that she did nothing wrong even tho she did, all of this are common ugly emotions that we don't want to admit we have it. Also compare to the other villains, she is the only consistent one so far. The other villains turn into "friends" the moment they have a common enemy. But rachel is not, she set her own goal and will sacrifice everything to get it, she will not let anyone define her and she understands well that she is a bad person.
Ngl, I still haven't watched the vid yet, but the title has me confused. Wouldn't the webtoon itself make it the 'One Piece' equivalent? Im not sure the One Piece anime made One Piece the manga that it is has/is.
