When I first started building I also used to struggle on the back side of my bases but then I started planning for the back to have things like backyards, hidden entrances/exits, or just little Easter eggs and then building the back became just as fun as the front. The front looks grand and the back, while looking normal, has a sense of mystery because of this. 10/10 would recommend building backs of bases like this. That's one of my favorite Hermitcraft quotes ever "This is Doc's world, We just live in it."
grian and scar however, will not be living in it for much longer !
@@spoookley lmaoooo
@@spoookley I mean, you never know if you'll wake up or not...

@@devilish0307 it becomes harrowing once you know some things about Scars life
I love how Grian basically included foreshadowing of the incident. It like Chekov's tunnel bore.
This is what happens when you don't listen to your intuition!
(At least for me it is. Whenever I realize something a risk for something to go wrong and didn't fix it immediately, it usually did go wrong not much later)
Yeah really impressed by how this episode had a well-constructed narrative structure somehow lol
Grian and scar blowing up the excavator has the energy of 2 ten year olds playing baseball and breaking the kitchen window
Grian starting to build and than it's a "We're sorry" killed me😂😂😂 and just act surprised with doc and try to find who did it😂😂😂
The animators are going to have a field day with this one
I can't wait! =D
I look forward to the look of terror on Grian's face in the animations
true lol
ive barly animated in my life but im getting ready
@@Drawlistics yooooooo
I don't know if I've ever laughed as hard as I did watching Grian and Scar just stand there in silence as the machine exploded
Omg I couldn't do it I was dying bro😭
I love the smaller afterblow after big one...like cherry on the cake
This time scar was the one to break everything not grian by pressing buttons
I couldn’t breathe
I love how Impulse, the only parent of the group, is actually parenting Grian lol
That roll call meme but different, (not the bad boys one)
Grian : The Gremlin Child
Gem and Impulse : Those super supportive parents that hate to be strict
Scar : That one Uncle that always is on the kids side, when the parents are counting on them to be on their side
*Grian sees buttons and levers:* OOOoooh, what does this do? Let me mess with these.
*Grian sees a noteblock:* I feel like this is a trap.
😂
honestly, I would like a war, gives some chaos to a pretty peaceful server. Plus the last ‘big war’ on Hermitcraft may have been the war with Grian and Scar about mycelium in season 6. Honestly I want a war with Grian and Scar on the same side, on Hermitcraft.
😂
9:35 For context, Grian went into the tunnel with 52 fireworks. He came back out with only 15 remaining
So the tunnel has to be at least, well it's grian, 100 blocks long.
@@matthewparker9276 100 blocks !! Are u mad ?? Over 500 atleast

How has no one responded to Impulse? Also, hi Impulse
Ima guess it hasn't been worked on yet

I fear you might have to follow up on those or else threats💀
@@amberkx1816 I can just imagine “GRIAN, GET TO WORK, OR IM STEALING YOUR DIAMONDS!!!”
The back of the base has serious "but Mom, i dont wanna play soccer!" energy
0:17 That "That's beneath it!" was so cute omg??
4:40 You know seeing all this, it's kinda impressive how little Grian manages to ever build lol.
8:10 THAT'S SO TERRIFYING WHAT
11:35 The intervention omg. Backside Builders Anonymous. xDDD
14:48 Scar is such a parent omg.
19:54 awshdasui WHY DID IT WORK THE FIRST TWO TIMES AND THEN _IMMEDIATELY_ AFTER GRIAN GOT EXCITED ABOUT FREE DIAMONDS IT EXPLODED!?
21:24 Scar's gonna log back in and immediately die to fall damage. xD
24:36 PHILZA LOOK OUT-
The silence after they destroyed doc’s machine absolutely killed me XD
The embodiment of "oh no..."
IT FELT LIKE THEY WERE JUST STANDING THERE FOR LIKE A FULL MINUTE IT WAS SOOOO FUNNY
Grian's reaction to breaking the machine is the exact same energy as highscoolers scattering from a sound of a headteacher approaching a window they've just broke
Or when you go through a wall in a mockfight... same energy indeed.
...Stolen comment from scar's video
as someone who broke a window one time this is exactly what it felt like
@@Quasarel Yep! Great comment though
tf did y'all do during highschool?
this might be one of the best Hermitcraft episodes ever! so many diffrenet iconic things happened in this one. i came back here to rewatch the tunnel bore explosion moment but then realized it's also the episode with the back-of-the-base intervention
Doc is either going to be really mad, disappointed or he might be like “yeah I kinda figured it would happen eventually”. Here’s an idea, how about you give Doc all the supplies and just say we tried.
He's probably happy, now he can test out some super weapons on both of them 😂
I think the "Tunnel Bore Incident" is right there next to "Joe destroying a stack of diamond blocks that didn't belong to him" as the single best moment in the whole Hermitcraft series ngl
wait when was that?
Jevin didn't even care about the diamonds, this is way funnier
@@cassie5248 Season 6, I think?
@@Techhunter_Talon HOW DO I NOT REMEMBER THAT?!
do u know which video it was?
When I first started building I also used to struggle on the back side of my bases but then I started planning for the back to have things like backyards, hidden entrances/exits, or just little Easter eggs and then building the back became just as fun as the front. The front looks grand and the back, while looking normal, has a sense of mystery because of this. 10/10 would recommend building backs of bases like this. I also got to mess around with red stone to make hidden doors
Just the pure panic and horror in their voices. 20:17
The level of immediate stress I received when Grian saw Doc's tunel bore hole is immeasurable. Looks like another war is surely brewing.
At least it will be entertaining
My husband, who primarily watches Grian, Scar, Mumbo, and Impulse: "Ooh, it looks like Grian and Scar blew something up!"
Me, who also watches Doc and whose stomach has somehow dropped through the floor because the background of Scar's thumbnail looks distressingly familiar: _~~streeeeeeeessss~~_
"I watched mumbo bild one once"
"Well that seems qualified enough"
Had me rolling on the floor laughing for a few minutes
grian the entire back of base segment: i no no wanna :'(
I love that Grian was asking in good intentions what everyone's doing, and you know that everyone was suspicious what hes doing hahahah
To avoid back-of-the-mansion-syndrome, Grian I think you should just make a base with two fronts next time.
Maybe the base is a big "dimenional portal" and the two sides are opposites or paralell dimension-versions.
That's actually a really cool idea. Split it with a massive nether portal, then build two backs on the nether side!
Doc messed with your portal with shadow technology to shrink your portal to a 1 by 1. Just break the portal and relight it.
I was gonna say that one front would not be built because it's the back of the other one, but it's two fronts.
@@JACKHARRINGTON both sides wont be built bc its the back of both sides
@@ShinySylveon1993 now why are you being like this.
This went from procrastination to an intervention for said procrastination back to procrastination that ended up in a huge destructive accident
this is unintentionally one of the funniest episodes, I can't wait to see the fan animatics for this one
Let’s hope to see some soon.
And don't forget the moment when Grian got distracted from procrastinating (by discovering the bore hole), lmao!
Watching this I couldn't help but feel motivated to make an animatic for the intervention which sucks as my tablet is broken ToT
More of a greek tragedy, than a comedy, but agreed xD
grian is such little brother energy with that back of base intervention hahaha adorable
"I watched mumbo build one before" thats how like 50% of minecrafters learn redstone so scars ur man lmao
