    I'm hoping that chop top will be added to the TCM game in either update/dlc

    Fun trivia. Michael Keaton partially based his performance of Beetlejuice on Chop Top.

    I’ll admit that I didn’t like TCM 2 for many years. But, after all of the remakes and different takes that have happened, I’ve grown to appreciate it and really like it for what it is in recent years.

    Thank you for posting this man! I was always wondering how he fit in and was going to ask him at the next horror con I saw him at. I'm a 70s 80s 90s child but new to the franchise. Love choptop, and I watched this movie back in the day when it was new. But upon rewatching recently I came up with that question you're addressing. I can't recall where but I had heard just a bit of the Vietnam explanation. I never got the full explanation though, so thanks again!

    i taught the hitchhiker was chop its why he haves a steel plate because of how he got hurt in the 1st movie.

      That was their plan in the original draft of the film's script. There was also another script for a different sequel where The Hitchhiker would've been tied to a tree to keep him alive. But I'm guessing as the character evolved and they couldn't get back Ed Neal that they decided it was better to just make him into his own character, and thus Chop Top was born.

    Why does he pretend to be a pacfist/hippie wearing peace signs despite being a murderer or at least the accomplice of one?

    • @chizorama
      @chizorama 10 місяців тому +1

      Marine Colonel: "So you have born to kill written on your helmet but wear a peace symbol. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke??"
      Private Joker: "Suggesting the duality of man."
      FMJ
      Not verbatim, but that's how I see it, not that Choptop's super learned.
      Also, "Music is my life!"
