I love the beautiful energy flow! I don’t always trust everything I read on the internet, so, can someone please tell me if what I found on Google below is actually true???
The Bakatue Festival in Elmina, Ghana has multiple purposes:
    Commemoration
The festival celebrates the founding of Elmina by the Portuguese during the early days of colonization. It also honors ancestors.
    Fishing season
The festival marks the beginning of the fishing season and asks the gods for a good year. The festival's main highlight is the "Benya Lagoon Opening" ceremony, where a channel is dug to connect the lagoon to the sea, allowing fish to enter.
    Protection
The festival also asks the deity Nana Benya to protect the state and its people.
