I have two hotel tours in the channel, in the Poznan and Wroclaw, Poland there wasn't a cottages, was an apartments, which used like the hotel room, in there was fluorescent tubes without the fixtures, I bought their in the Leroy Merlin and OBI.
Come on….. it’s Retro looking! I’m a huge fan of vintage houses. Having a ceiling fan in the dining room is a nice thing too.

2:32 look like the Soviet УСП-2х40w fixture, there are preheat or rapid start ballasts in there but have a wooden frame with a diffuser, at Soviet versions originally a metal frame.
I agree wirh you these cottages are more better then hotel or motel rooms becuse you can save money and the other stuff you said
They are awesome
MUCH better than the mobile home we stayed at when we went to Chincoteague Island! The place was dirty and very dated, there were ants on one of the beds!

Chincoteague Island is on my list of places I'd love to visit, the ponies are the biggest draw for me but so's the town in general and the beach. I wouldn't say no to this property. Reminds me of Island's End in St. Pete's beach in Florida. Cottage rentals can be very nice and I've stayed in some nice (and not so nice ones; one bad one that stays in mind was one in Isle of Palms, SC that had spermicide stuff left in a drawer (!)).

Despite its dated look, that looks like it would be a nice place to stay for awhile as opposed to a hotel. I remember staying in a place with a similar style (only it was more updated and more of a condo) when me and my family took a trip from our cabin in northern Wisconsin to the Apostle Islands (which is the northernmost point of the state) a while back.

Not a bad place; a bit dated as you said but kinda dig the 1990s feel to the place; my family often stayed at 1990s era rental cottages in SC and FL.

Did the place have free or paid WiFi? This place looks nicer then the cottages you toured in 2012. It is pretty odd that you have to bring your own sheets; but I guess it cuts down on housekeeping costs since they just have to vacuum, mop, and clean the bathrooms/kitchen.
Hey Andrew, when you go on trips like these and take your fluorescent lights, how do you pack them so they don't get damaged?

It is 70s, and that stove is the same that was in a house that was built for my family in 1978, except the door was steel, white, and had a window.
There's some very minor upkeep issues, like the screen door that doesn't shut. In Massachusetts, that would be a code violation. Not sure down there.
The doors and windows were mostly replaced, as for 70s closet doors, would be 2-panel sliders. The doors there now are at least 80s.
