Delaborde has some very interesting works! His style reminds me a bit of Saint-Saëns - fitting as he French and was born in the same decade. (1830s) I think Alkan had an influence on both composers!
It's amusing reading about Delaborde's life - he seems like the polar opposite of his father (Alkan). He was an eccentric in some ways but far from the recluse his father was - he was noted for his affairs and womanizing!
