1:34 ~ Love every angle of this rig. Just seeing it sitting in the garage at this time stamp, with the only the headlights visible brings a smile to my face.
Can‘t wait to drive my VR6 Rado when I‘m done restoring it. It‘s a flashred 92, I‘ve torn it down to rebuild and repaint it for almost 3 years now. My first car was a 91 US G60 with the automatic belts, I still regret selling it. Take good care of your Corrado mate, lovely car! Cheers
Love the Corrado mate. I’d be careful with uploading stuff like this, I’m reading more and more cases where people have been prosecuted over UA-cam footage, with some forces even going as far as working speed out based on landmark to landmark if they can’t see the Speedo
@@BWTV yes nothing in this vid came across as crazy at all just a heads up for future stuff cos some forces now have dedicated resources to this kind of thing and invite grasses to send them links etc
My dad had one of these as a company car in the early 90s I remember being driven in that and being amazed at the speed sensitive rear spoiler As a 7/8 year old it might as well have been a Ferrari I believe it was a 1.8 but that was enough, would love to drive a VR6
If you're ever around the XXXX brewery in Brisbane be on the lookout for a Corrado, I've seen one kicking around a few times. There's also a B5 Passat VR6 4motion in the area, must be that sort of place.
I've only just read this comment whilst checking out some videos on this car, but you make a very good point that I hadn't even thought about so thank you! Got to get that sorted 👍👍
Good video geezer. My advice as a fellow owner. Check, and if in doubt replace the timing chains and tensioner's. It will cost you now but will pay off when selling. If there is no history, bite the bullet and get them replaced. Swap the interior with leather. Any colour you wish but with blue paint (moonlight), black or grey leather is best. Whilst you have the door cards off, replace both window regulators, and any switch gear or audio that looks like it's on its last legs. Get a set of original Speedline 15" wheels. These are going up in value so get them when you can. If you can get 5,all the better. Don't fit a short shifter........these only promote over driving, and no potential buyer wants to buy a seemingly well preserved classic car, only to find out it has been upgraded with " spank me harder" parts. I promise you that you will look back and thank yourself for preserving these types of vehicles for what they once were, and be able to compare them to what ever is being made now. Good luck and happy motoring
I’ve a vr6 exactly the same as yours and I got my steering wheel re trimmed , have you ever looked into a short shift , I’d like one but can’t see any suitable
An idea for the next video is your review after 3-4-5 months of ownership problems you ran into can you use it as a daily? Running prices? future plans for the vr6? did it live up to your expectations 👍
Is that paint original? It’s really a beautiful blue. Hard to believe it’s 25 yrs old. The exhaust sounds epic! One last thing...let’s lose those f-bombs. If you’re driving a classic, you got to be a classy guy.
Hey mate. Just stumbled across your channel. Love the car... I just wanted to mention with regards to your road taxing issue have you checked if it can be made exempt under classic car status? If so its simple to do so and will save you taxing it. Please check with dvla. All the best.
Miss that sound, is that Chobham Common / Longcross / Egham? Edit : I knew it. Grew up in Windlesham so used to rag my Mk2 16V along there. Also 8:40 is where some twat lost it in an MX5 and took out my mum’s car at the start of lockdown.
I find it funny how we have the same taste in cars. And nearly the same name lol. My names Ryan. MK4 Gti Stage 2, B4 S2 (sold last year), A recently purchased C5 Audi Allroad 2.7t.
Very nice my dad owned an allroad with the adaptive suspension a few years ago, but he was always in the garage getting it repaired so gave up with the a4s/a6s and went to BMW 😂 I think I'm persuading him to change his mind with my A4 now though 👌
That VR6 sound is unbeatable
Isn't it 😍
Turbo and open waste gate would sound so good paired with this.
Alfa Busso: Hold my Peroni

Absolutely love the VW Corrado, my fav VW car with the old scirocco. Nice to see that one well cared for.
Thank you mate! It's definitely my favourite car I've owned so far
That V6 sound is intoxicating 😜🤘🏻
Yo it's different than a v6, it's a vr6
I tuned in just to reminisce when I owned two vr6 Corrado's back in the day. Oh that sound!
I can't be the only one who thought he was being tailgated the whole time by a purple car 🤣😭 realised later its a pillow ffs lmao
😂😂
I can't stop looking at it 😂 looks like a purple vr6

Hmm okay thanks for the warning, I've always watched my speed so will definitely watch it closer 🤔👍

More corrado!

Nice car mate. That stretch of the M3 is amazing, taken a few of my cars there for a blast.
Beast
Sounds just like my Mk4 2.8 😊
Nothing beats a V6 👌
Cool car, Corrado's are super rare here in Australia.
I've a Passat 3.2
4 motion that I beat the shit out of and love every minute. #vr6life

Nice one Cuz, you have the original and still in my opinion the best VW they made
The filter needs a heat shield, it's close to the oil cooler, not a huge problem, but you probably lose power when it warms up fully.

That GRUUUMMMBLLE
Only channel I come to UA-cam for! Keep up the great content dude👍🏼
Means a lot, thanks mate 😀👌
I never knew these vws existed I'm not the biggest fan of the design but it moves quick and sounds pretty well
Great sound, corrado is best of the vw.
Sounds ace
Mk3 and Corrado best VWs ever.
I'd love to drive one of this things. :)
Enjoy it mate!
Wow, did not know that car was that fast!
Yep you should definitely drive one great cars and look great too that’s why it’s my dream car
It's getting off!!!
Good to see you back!
✌️
hhhmmm thats kinda strange ur camera lense seems to fog up or summit at around 11:15 hhhm maybe needs a clean
The sound ❤❤❤
Love to know the exhaust set up on this...how to get this sound out of my VR6 which is due for a new exhaust!
Sounds awesome!... think you were a bit late blurring the speedo out lol
Hi, please could you tell me what wiper arms you have? They look you change them. Mine don't wipe correctly the windscreen. Typical in corrados.

Appreciate the advice! Quite a lot of history came with this car that I made a video on, but it could definitely do with a few bits 🤙
You must feel sad and will definitely miss that vr6 sound. My friend recently put it away his glanza no more turbo flutter sounds for a while
I’ve a vr6 exactly the same as yours and I got my steering wheel re trimmed , have you ever looked into a short shift , I’d like one but can’t see any suitable
What wheel size is that and are you on coilovers or sports suspension?

Sounds like a good idea! 👌
No 🐇 🐰 rabbits were harmed in the making of this video.

Satisfying 3:06
Where do u get a short shifter for a corrado vr6

I've got no record of any paintwork being done so I think it's original 👌
Sounds amazing!
My favourite noise 😋

I haven't I thought it was if the car is 30 or 40 years old it counts as a classic and exempt from tax, I'll take another look into it though 👍

Poor Corrado, going into hibernation :(
I know, still going to be loved though!
Damn, how am I here this early?
Yes you are 😎
210 HP? HOW?
With the mods I mentioned in the video 👍
It is still 12 grand...
nicely blured the dials at 11:17 you surely must be going 70 definitely not faster ;)
Yup stuck to 70 I must've breathed accidentally on the lens for it to be blurred like that 🤔🙊
What ever happens...just dont sell the VR! JUST DONT!
Poor rabbit getting blasted with carbon monoxide
NICE CAR!
Thank you 👍
