I do wonder why you didn't ring the signalman on the crossing phone immediately. Glad you did when you did but the time lapse could've been dicey . Well done you for ringing though .
@@BRLCAMUK yeah but the operator will still be able to control it. For example, they can lift the barrier to release a vehicle which has gone through too late.

The signalman for crossings where removed ages ago. Now you probably just phone a call center or something
