The song definitely seems to reflect on the very dark time between MINX's failure and the rise of Dreamcatcher, with the members not wanting to stop, wishing for "one more chance" and being eager to "dream it and do it". Lots of allusions to Dreamcatcher songs and the emotions they were going through during that rough time - which led them to the bright heights they are at now.

Personally, I do not think it is an "alternative" ending, but the actual ending. Piri ends badly, they are all still trapped. But in Breaking Out, the title says it, they all break free. Also, the white robe look is certainly a nod to Piri. I think they did that to make Japanese insomnia feel like they were also part of the story, not just an afterthought...

The Covid pandemic really put their Japanese activities on hold but they're having a Japanese comeback on March 24th with the release of Eclipse which is the theme song from the TV anime King's Raid: Successors of the Will. The clips on youtube are from the TV show and are not the complete song. Because of the high level of hostility between Japan and Korea it's difficult for Korean companies to operate in Japan. They either have to create a subsidiary that's allied with a powerful global company as JYP did with Warner Music, or work through a Japanese company which Dreamcatcher has done with Ponycanyon. Japanese companies have the same difficulty operating in South Korea.
Dreamcatcher is already an underrated group, and on top of that their japanese songs are even more underrated (even with in the fandom). I honestly can't understand.

Sad that Korea are not into K-Pop/Rock style. Right now they are in the same situation like back then CN Blue. CN blue was the only K-Pop Rock Boy Band, but they cannot go much farther due to Korea market. If Dreamcatcher cannot go big within these two years, they will be CN blue 2.0. Dreamcatcher contract will end at 2023, 2020-2021 are the most critical year for them. I hope us the international fans can save this group.

Sad that Korea are not into K-Pop/Rock style. Right now they are in the same situation like back then CN Blue. CN blue was the only K-Pop Rock Boy Band, but they cannot go much farther due to Korea market. If Dreamcatcher cannot go big within these two years, they will be CN blue 2.0. Dreamcatcher contract will end at 2023, 2020-2021 are the most critical year for them. I hope us the international fans can save this group.
