YES HADES! I saw him play it at one point during the subathon when he was further in the game, so glad to now be able to start watching the vods from the start
Dude I played hades a ton, like I got the true ending, heat 8 on shield, 7 on spear and 13 with sword on hell mode, and I never knew that you could move the camera... 5:20
After the subathon ended I went back to watch the beggining of your playthrough of Hades in the Twitch vods. Couldn't wait for it to come to UA-cam. I'm so pumped to see more!
Hell yes, my favorite streamer playing my favorite roguelike with one of my favorite soundtracks of all time?! I'm 100% down for this! Also, it's nice to see you kept the beard after the subathon, it really suits you!
It's especially easy with the shield LMAO. I beat the final boss by shielding in the corner and I had the Daedalus boon where you release an arrow instead of bull rush. So yeah shield op plus only like 1 or 2 attacks in the whole game can hit you from behind.
What does a "hot bit" mean? I've never heard that expression I don't think it exists. Pomegranates are not related to Demeter. The Pomegranate is the fruit of the Underworld and Persephone ate one in the underworld trapping her down there.
Pomegranate is a mortal world fruit that also grows in the Underworld. Demeter is the Olympian goddess of the harvest and agriculture, and Persephone's mother. In ancient Mesopotamian art pomegranates are often represented with the deities of fertility, fecundity, and abundance. Demeter fitting the bill within the Greek pantheon, it's a very fair assumption to make. If you're going to correct someone, maybe look it up first? The whole popular reason given in Greek Mythology as to why Persephone ate the pomegranate seeds in the Underworld in the first place is that they were the one food there that was familiar to her and a favorite from the surface that she found growing wild instead of being offered to her by Hades, not realizing eating them would still count. But, since she didn't eat all the seeds of the one fruit she picked, they came to an arrangement that she'd only be trapped there for an equivalent number of months out of each year to how many she did eat, creating the seasons based on Demeter's mood, turning sour while Persephone is away in the Underworld (Winter), and becoming ecstatic to have her back (Summer). The fact that pomegranates mature very close to winter and are allegorically responsible for winter also ties them to Demeter in her role of goddess of the seasons. Of course, all that said, it is also fair to assume pomegranates are more directly tied to Persephone for a lot of the same reasons, making them more symbolic to her. Or, to even further extent, you could tie pomegranates more to mortal values over deific ones, since they have connection to health, fertility, infertility, life, death, marriage, and so on. Admittedly, in the game of Hades, it's role as the "fruit of the dead" is one of the most major factors in its gameplay functionality, since they're used for upgrading any boon of your choice. But it's still important to note that being Demeter's symbol was a very good guess to make, as well as several other options other than pomegranates being Underworld fruits (and, even in-game it's not that simple).
One minute in an he already said Tar Tarous I’m done I’m watching this tomorrow
The thing I love the most about this game:
the narrator is his own character
and he's one of the best
That's a Supergiant trademark, the narrator of their first game Bastion was also probably the most well-known character
My favorite part is that you can pet the dog
Love how he uploaded this as a 20 minute VOD rather than splicing it with when he goes back to the game.

Hades is sooooo awesome, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
when you've been away for so long that eric is growing a beard
So happy you started playing :)
Hades is easily one of the easiest roguelites its definitely an introduction to roguelites because it’s practically perfect for its intended level.

@@TerrariaLuvr lmao, that's the shield. It's either garbage or amazing depending on circumstance.
Easier until you play high heat then it becomes a nightmare
