I decided to start a research on counseling/education because I’m graduating this semester with an associate degree in Human Services and I feel like I have the passion, the calling but I don’t have the knowledge/skills , experience etc. When you shared something similar about someone else, it really made me feel better. My friends have encouraged me to keep my education because they said I would make a good counselor. So that helped me a lot. Thank you.

omg hahaha i was just thinking how our/ my job as a counselor is against principalities and evil and you just brought up " the client is an atheist and you are a catholic" good one. In my past life as a counselor i never met anyone who didn't believe in something... whatever that something was that's what you use to elicit change was my motto.... Been enjoying these review presentations...thank you.
I'm glad you’re enjoying the presentations! You’re spot on-counseling often involves working with a wide range of beliefs, and it’s all about meeting the client where they are. Your approach of tapping into whatever the client finds meaningful is a powerful way to foster change. Whether it’s faith, values, or something else entirely, connecting with what resonates for the client can really drive progress. Thanks for sharing your experience-sounds like you’ve had a lot of insight to bring to the table! Also, I’d be grateful if you were to share what you found most useful from the video. Additionally, if you're interested in more tips on the topic or if you want to explore my video library, you can use my AI: allceus.com/AskDocSnipes
I was on Methadone, Valium and cigarettes for over 10 years and I stopped (as a result of a Kundalini awakening ) 4 years ago . I’d love to be able to help others . How long does it take to become a councilor?
I have a dumb question. I just started drug and alcohol counseling this year. I had not heard the term clinician much before working in addictions. I worked in nursing before so assumed it only meant Doctor. Who is a clinician? Counselor and Therapists? Thanks
I'm in my last school year and working in a SUD facility, my first "job" so to speak. This lecture made me feel 100% better.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you. I am completing my masters in addiction counseling and this video encouraged me significantly.
You’re so welcome. Best of luck to you. At AllCEUs, we provide addiction counselor certification, certificate training / masterclass programs. :)
