From what I I understand, H is still Prince Henry, and his wife is still Princess Henry, both royal. They are not, however working royals. QEII did not strip them of their HRHs, she merely instructed them not to use their HRHs. To the World at large, HRHs mean next to nothing. As many of us did not grow up with royal traditions in our countries, whether or not someone is referred to as HRH is truly meaningless. I personally can’t stand the pair of them and wish they would ride off into obscurity. But, as that is not going to happen, the only way to deal with them is to completely ignore them. On July 20th at a celebration of Colombia's Independence from Spain, the President arrived late due to security concerns and a supposed attempted attack. How do H & M think they will be sufficiently protected when the President himself experiences gaps in protection? It's as if they want to flirt with disaster--this is extremely impusive, juvenile behaviour on their part. Are they that desperate for exposure? So they think this will make them look like super heros? There is a total disconnect from reality with these two if they think that they are so important that perhaps the Army follow them everywhere? They are arriving ahead of a Conference on violence against children [mostly sexual] which is rampant in the country--but has nothing to do with online threats to children, only 33% of Colombian children have access to the internet. I don't think this invitation was random, I think MM was looking to align herself with Black women political activists and "networked"/wrangled her way into an invitation.
