One advise i'd give Shamsi and other brothers in general is don't be too harsh with people in front of their kids. The guy clearly lacks knowledge generally speaking but it's sometimes better to avoid interactions as it may cause more harm and hatred in the future.

Iyad ibn Ghanam reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever has advice for the ruler, let him take his hand and give it privately. If he accepts it, then he accepts it. If he rejects it, the duty upon him has been fulfilled.”

' O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result. '

and if they apostatised and the benefits outweigh the worst then the scholars should stand together and choose amongst them the most suitable religiously and politically to rule and this is following methodology of the Salaf not using the democracy as a tool to govern by legislation of man made laws and bringing nothing except the opposite of the divine perfect legislation as the ikhwan's motivations.
Now you need to choose who to follow the truth abundantly or the ikhwan sect and political party which corrupted Muslim countries even more since the time of the Egyptian monarch and the laymen praise them due to the west promoting them in the middle Eastern region to supposedly bring " Democracy" ( Which is Kufr ) as an argument to destroy Muslim lands like what they did in Libya, Irak, Egypt, Afghanistan....
and the people get excited, they rebel against corrupt rulers by bringing more corruption and having ' democracy ' ( people legislating laws against Sharia ) with ikhwanis who want to bring Sharia as you claimed but through anti islamic manner because the end justifies the means, in their case having the power only.
Why exactly they destabilze the Muslim countries and get the situation worse, the following way:
When a Muslim middle Eastern has the intention to rebel, the western countries are so happy at a degree you can not imagine because it means
- Taking the resources of the land easily
- Having an Agent as an ally there who is the head of state whom we grant the throne.
- financing groups like the ikhwan to bring chaos and bloodshed like during the Arab Spring by calling for liberty, freedom and democracy against oppression ( ironically)
- bring more conflicts by giving power to a minority who becomes a minority like the Rawafid in Irak who know are the head states after collaboratin of the USA and Iran to spread twelver Shiism and the same with the houthis in Yemen.
- Making them forget about their religion by transgressing the ruling of Islam and advocatinv Khurooj to promote a spirit of Jahiliya.
- Making the situation in the land worse than before just like history showed us by bringing the illusion that the ikhwanis just like hizb tahri are the liberator of the people...
( Example : Egypt from a monarch stable with one man to multiple parties conflicting with each other like the ikhwan, the socialists, the army and the people pay the high price )
If you ask any Egyptian was it better before they will definitely say " Yes " and dream about the past and all of this due to this ikhwani sect collaborating with the socialist army ( another irony because socialism is an ideology which is shirk because it is a segment of communism who calls for secularism )
So my point my brother is there is not salvation in the hereafter nor peace in this life if you don't submit totally to Allah the Almighty and following his noble messenger Mohamed صلى الله عليه وسلم by correcting our belief and pondering over the signs of our Lord and analysing the situation on the ground rationally in order to suffocate the enemies of this divine Religion.
" But as soon as He rescues them, they transgress in the land unjustly. O humanity! Your transgression is only against your own souls. ˹There is only˺ brief enjoyment in this worldly life, then to Us is your return, and then We will inform you of what you used to do. " Surah Yunus verse 23
The one who rule is a reflection of the level of piety of the society.
So take this as an advice my dear brother and may Allah SWT bless you make us upon the truthful ones for his sake only by following the way of the Salaf in all shape or form.
