First off, letting go of sentimental items is incredibly difficult, and the timeline and the amount of items to keep looks different for everyone. If you’re not ready, that is OK! And if you are ready, that is OK too! It’s OK to let go of things 💗

Thank you! I know that sharing your experience was hard. It's funny because some things we have from my dad are functional too. Trying to let go of some of my mom's clothes. Many were my size so I've worn some & donated some. The sentimental storage box's work well.

Your horrible loss won’t be so bad bc we’re all here for you too. 😢 I lost one of each set of twins in my last 2 pregnancies… I was 41 & 45 in 1998 & 2001. Literally only a sonogram of 2 before they passed. In 1998 I was 9 wks, 2001 5 weeks. No UA-cam, no support groups/chat rooms. It took me forever to tell anyone about it as I gave birth to a healthy infant each time…
😞💔🙏🏼❤️🩹 I can't even imagine how hard that must've been. Losing anyone we love is so hard. Just wanted to acknowledge your post & send some blessings on such strong woman pushing through without support you desperately needed. I bet your kiddos are so proud to have such strong mama guiding them through life. I appreciate you being able to share such hard loss. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️ bless your healing heart. Thank you.

Wow. I was not prepared to hear the sort of loss the second mentioned on is. That is harsh. I'm crying over here. But at the same time, I'm left with the fact that if you could let go of most of the items related to that one, as well as the items of your father (more along the lines of what I thought I'd hear in this video - or grandparents) then I can find a way also to let go of some of the things I've still had trouble with. The wierd thing is I've noticed I don't even usually feel happy when I see items linked to someone no longer here. I actually feel a little sad, yet if I think of the person on my own (not having seen an item to yank me there) I usually feel a sweet feeling. But it is still hard to let items go because they are still here with me and once gone, if I wish I had not done it, I can undo it. I think that is what stops me.
