A Presidential Proclamation: President Bush At The Sequoia National Forest July 14, 1992

1992. The Forest Service, environmental groups, and industry worked for years to forge an agreement on the best way to preserve, protect, and restore Giant Sequoia Groves within the Sequoia National Forest. This agreement was elevated to the status of a Presidential Proclamation and became an historic event when the President traveled to the Forest to sign this agreement to secure the future of the magnificent Sequoia Trees.
