Great Basin National Park is one of the least-visited national parks, but in my opinion, it is one of the most impressive for star gazing, tree hugging, glacier views, and challenging hikes. If you are in the area, watch this vlog to find out what you can expect to see in just 2 days.
However you choose to spend your 48 hours in Great Basin National Park, be prepared for a unique experience without the millions of people that Yosemite or Zion National Park welcome each year. Please stay on trails, even to pass others, and respect the wilderness.

One of my favorite spots on my way to Moab 💖🦄🧡 they had Saturn viewing from the lower parking area at GBNP in 2011. Amazing! It’s true about their mountains and hot springs!

Questions if you don't mind... layers? How many and what kind? Between 90+ at the trail heads but cooler temps and hail at elevation, looks like various kinds might be worth bringing.
You car camped in the park? If thinking about a stay in a nearby town would do you have any advice on those in the area... Baker? Ely?

In early June your biggest issue could be snow hasn’t melted enough to make wheeler passable. Layers are always a good idea!

Thank you! I was on a vegan diet but unfortunately it affected my health. I still prefer plants over meat, though!
