El Bailador was super annoying during pacifist because he kept attacking me, but his death speech in neutral and his dialogue in genocide makes me feel bad for him
Say what you will about El Bailador's original boss battle in terms of gameplay. But god... I seriously feel so sad for this poor guy. He really was just a wholesome guy who wanted to bring joy to others with the art of dancing, and is just... killed in such a cold, nihilistic manner. The player not even attempting to humor his gimmick. You can just feel the pain and sorrow in his eyes as he starts to realizes he is going to die all the while has no intent on fighting back. I think if hurting Martlet didnt make me cross off doing a Geno run, this fight right here absolutely did.
I like the detail of El Bailidor only getting sad once his HP drops low. The fight starts normal besides the fact that you aren't doing the rhythm minigame. Then he *TRIES* to convince Clover to dance, but clearly that isn't working. He can't really fight so... he just.... gives up. Anyways! Small tidbit about the Genocide route with UTY's Unused Songs! There's an unused song in the files called Trampled Flowers. It uses The Guardener's motif and PRESUMABLY it would've been a Genocide Route theme for her. She never appears in Genocide in the final game to my knowledge, even if you don't exhaust the kill count before encountering her. If she DID have a Genocide fight though, I imagine she'd be a bit more of a threat than Decibat or El Bailidor [I mean, even in the Pacifist route her fight is difficult!] Here's a link to the song btw! ua-cam.com/video/pSYbnGf_C8g/v-deo.html
El Bailidor also gets sad if u keep using acts and survive long enough turns for him to become sparable. Also attacking him after he becomes sparable is a one shot.
For decibat, its basically skipped for everyone once you exhaust the kill count in all the rooms before where you encounter it. Same goes for El Bailador too apparently, which is kinda weird cause I'm always encountering him the couple times I played this route lmao
I was one of the people Danza absolutely demolished on pacifist. When I was playing genocide (I messed on neutral and didn't kill him then), I was excited to get revenge. And when I killed him... It gave me no satisfaction. No fulfilment. No accomplishment. Just the feeling I kicked a puppy
As much as I hate el bailador WITH A BURNING PASSION, the genocide is still sad EDIT: I skipped to the end, I watched it from the beginning again and HOLY SHIT THAT "Come on, dance with me" makes me so sad
I know it's not bailador's fault he's annoying. It's the rancid control scheme for his wish/temu brand everhood fight. But his 1 note pokemon character level personality did not help, and i still wanted him to suffer immensely.
neither decibat or el bailador are "required" bosses, so if you exhaust the kill count before you get to the room where you encounter them then you won't be able to fight them.
both decibat and el bailador are missable if you hit the "but nobody came" 20 enemy kill check unfortunately... or fortunately for them i guess in my playthrough i got el bailador but missed decibat
It’s so sad. He doesn’t die with any fanfare, or final speech, just… nothing. He doesn’t fight back, he kneels and accepts his fate
El Bailador was super annoying during pacifist because he kept attacking me, but his death speech in neutral and his dialogue in genocide makes me feel bad for him
When you play pacifist, you want to kill El Bailador.
When you play genocide, you can't bring yourself to hurt him.
Wdym I didn’t want to kill him, I even beat him first try
I died but genuinely had fun on his battle, it broke myvheart how sad he was when killing him i felt like absolute crap
Same @@traumatizedDumpster
Absolutely the same. In fact, the genocide fight absolutely petrified me.
I hated El Bailador's fight in Pacifist
Guess I was getting too rusty at rhythm
Man,I haven't felt this bad for El Bailador even since i first killed Papyrus
In Genocide or Pacifist?
Here I was. Thinking “nah el baildor is going to be one of the strongest enemies in genocide!”
How can he be tough?, he's a dancer

I'm pretty sure there is a cutscene where axis tells guardener to hide
Yeah i think they meant it as "she doesn't appear in battle"

it's just as sad as seeing papyrus die
I wish there was someone strong enough to teach clover a lesson
@@cheems0 why blame clover
@@jupiter1289 he killed poor mutant cute sand dunes, decibat, el bailador
Blame the player, is always the player, Clover is not the one to blame.
I wasn't aware that this fight would be so sad.
I have not encountered either of them during my genocide playthrough unfortunately, seeing this is actually disheartening omg

@@RedWirePlatinumI almost encountered el bailador but I went back before and noticed that I forgot one room to clean so I never fought him
Same I didn’t fight both of them, I was first confused but I still realized I was on the vengeance route
Good, the underground needs the bailador, and he's just innocent man 😭

honestly you described the feeling really well

Maybe I shouldve picked yellow as the text/glow color in thumbnail cause Justice instead of determination. o well
el bailador's theme is a banger

and as for the bat thing?
Oof. I don't think I could do a genocide run...
They're not required (thank god)

I hope we can get an Ex version of these two, i really wanted to fight them longer
Wait, does you fight him in genocide route? Because in my run i'm stuck on Ceroba and El Bailador still not appearing
If you havent exhausted the kill count before the area where u encounter him then yea
@@RedWirePlatinumlol, kinda strange. I didn't encountered him too.
i didnt get either of these fights in my genocide run, it skipped both..

I was crying so much after I killed him it’s just so sad 😭
i was doing a genocide run and El Bailador was not showing
like it was not there
both decibat and el bailador are missable if you hit the "but nobody came" 20 enemy kill check unfortunately... or fortunately for them i guess

I'm not good at rhythm games. After the hell he put me through on the easiest pacifist, I named him El Uninstall. No sympathy.
