it's hilarious to me as an old school SONE that alot of k-pop stans these days always say "i miss when k-pop and k-pop fans was more chill" like... we used to have fights over balloon colors and fanwars when female idols were breathing near male idols 😭
@@hinasevatI hear about the HOT vs Sechkies fight in the award show parking lot over who deserved the daesang… and it ended with neither group winning, haha!
The only one I think is reasonable is Rain - from what I know he keeps putting together groups and debuting them and then pulls support - which is more cruel than the black ocean.
That's why I'll never be a part of any fandom. I just support all those kpop artists as general. I respect them and critisize them when needed. But honestly, sometimes I dislike certain artists/groups because of their toxic fandom.
About Lovelyz, a few years ago a k-lovelinus (Lovelyz fans) mentioned this: "ALSO PEPSI CONCERT was a prize(pay) to win CONCERT. i remember buying loads of Pepsi cans and bottles trying to get the tickets to attend the concert but couldn't win. NOT MANY LOVELYZ FANS COULD GET IN because the ticket was VERY HARD TO WIN. How can our own fandom conspire black ocean when there weren't many that got in??? WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE OFFICIAL LIGHT STICKS IN 2015 BECAUSE, the first official fandom LOVELINUS 1st gen was FORMED IN 2016 after the incident. I repeat, Trying to say that the black ocean was own fandom's doing is very misleading as we've been supportive of Jisoo through out 5~6 years span. It was VERY malicious sets of ANTIs that spread rumors and tried to get others to form aggression towards Jisoo mainly on Twitter, DAUM CAFE, Instiz. thus trying to make black the ocean happen. In fact, actual Lovelyz fandom atm(unofficial at that time mostly called '햇님') was trying to fight off those antis who try to bring down Jisoo. there were numerous hashtag movement by lovelyz fandom to clear off malicious comments made from those antis on twitter."
The really funny thing about the SNSD hate train is that The Grace fans got on Girls Generation's back for using pink when The Grace's fan color was also pink. I get what they were going for as they were under the same company, but also when The Grace first debuted NRG fans were ticked off because NRG's fan color was also pink. (I wonder how Baby V.O.X fits into this.)
I bailed on the ONCE fandom in early 2017 because I literally could not stand to be associated with the fandom for a second longer. And I still had the bruises from the SONE / BlackJack war that raged up until about 2014.
I remember back then the problem, at least with us Cassiopeia. The image of Tiffany showed in this video where ppl were saying she was rude is because she said that our fandoom looked like ants. Imagine sayng that as a new idol to the fans of your senior group and the biggest fandom at the moment. And the issue with SS501 that was not mentioned here, they participated too, is because they appeared together in a TV show and the girls were very touchy and they compared them with Wonder girls saying they were not like that.
Nah, she was just complimenting that there were so many Cassiopeias. They were just taking her words way too literally. Even if Tiffany said the fans were like stars in the sky, fans would still call it an insult. Hate & jealousy could do that. Just be a decent fan, no matter who it is you're supporting ❤❤
I'm guessing that it is because they're one of the groups mentioned in the video that is really close to SNSD. Again, just a guess or the OP is an elf as well
However not this is the WORST THING EVER HAPPENED TO A K-POP GROUP. Something, another K-POP UA-camr said was a “million times worse than a BLACK OCEAN.” That is what happened with Ladies’Code in September of 2013.
I agree. Sudden deaths are the worst part of the human life. Even thought I wans't Ladies´Code fan, what happened hurt me badly. And ever since every single death in the Kpop industry has hurt me badly. KARA´s Hara hurting the most, because she is my ultimate bias forever.
Like I said before BLACK OCEANS are nothing bad. Edit: I mean when one groups/fandom deals with the most tragic things in life, a black ocean might seem like a welcome relief in comparison.

This makes me so sad. Imagine trying to perform well while seeing all your fans turn on you, and a bad performance would make it worse. 💔
SNSD barely had fans back then. It was mostly SuJu, DBSK, and SS501's fans that were black oceaning SNSD. S❤️NEs were NOT turning their backs on SNSD
Most fans are very delulu, they think that attacking others will make their idols and bias fall in love with them
Something is wrong with YOU when you find yourself turning your LOVE into HATE. It is YOU. Most people simply STOP loving.
Nothing has changed. Social media has only made it worse.
The only one I think is reasonable is Rain - from what I know he keeps putting together groups and debuting them and then pulls support - which is more cruel than the black ocean.
i hope that every single person who took part in it feels utterly embarrassed and shamed knowing how successful and beloved snsd became
the NERVE to not cheer for THE Girl's Generatiom

As someone who is very distant from this kind of fandom, this is very disheartening to see.
Please make a Girls' Generation documentery!
I’m supporting this idea! 💡
some fandoms are very toxic

As a former SONE i still hear 'black ocean' and get goosebumps
Girls generation really a living legend
SM kpop fans started all toxicity on Kpop fandoms and SM encouraged this as they sacrificed their idols
I remember showels cheered for snsd they didn't close their light stick ❤❤❤❤😊 i love showels and carats i think they are so peaceful ❤
Messed up and the sad part is that it's still happening, from what I've heard.

They took it too literally 💀💀💀
They should randomize seating and remove zone seating so black oceans are harder to do
t-ara, snsd nooo😭😭😭 my ults🥺
Ah, this is gonna be absolutely hard to watch.
Rains black ocean is completely reasonable & valid
does anyone know the name of the song that starts playing in the video at 11:17? 👀
I think it's Genie by SNSD

they are
Are you part of the fandoms that gave snsd black ocean? 😂 Is that why you don't think it's that big of a deal..?
No, I meant to say that when you deal with life’s mortality challenges specifically in groups going from 5 down to 3 members strong.
