thank you so much for this tutorial! you made it very simple to understand with the instructions + visuals! i had to do a pattern for a class and you really saved me, thanks again
I wish Clip Studio had an infinitelly repeating canvas. Or at least 9 instances of it. Having to rasterise it all the time will get tedious. Thank you for tutorial.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!! You have made my life SO much easier and this task so much less crazy-making! Cheers, and even more thanks! Great video, I subscribed. ❤❤❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the thing about "do ctrl a on your canvas before converting to image material", i was following a different tutorial and they evidently forgot to mention that part, and my autistic ass has been sitting here for thirty minutes trying to figure out why my image wasn't working like theirs
It took me a while to figure out! It works okay if your image already goes all the way to the edges, but I was pleasantly surprised when selecting the whole canvas worked the way I hoped it would.
I’ve recently shifted from Adobe Illustrator to CSP, and I'm kinda dreadful about whether I could create a seamless pattern in CSP as easily as I could with Illustrator. Then I saw your tutorial, which was very easy to follow and worked just as I wanted it to. Thank you, Sarrah! You’ve been a great help!
Thanks so much for the tutorial! At 2:00 you mention, make the canvas "half as big as it currently is" but I'm confused how 1200 turns to 1800 pixels? Am I doing the math wrong? I just want to make sure I understand if I'm using a dimension that's different :) hope you can help!!
Hi! It's "half again as big" - that is to say, if it's 1200, divide 1200 in half to get 600, and add the two together to get 1800. I hope that makes more sense!
This is a great tutorial, though csp has failed us all here. Although I'm very comfortable in csp, I would recommend using krita for this sort of stuff instead. it's got a single keyboard shortcut to switch to wrap mode. definitely the most user friendly for tiling textures.
Thank you so much for your tutorials! Thanks to your explanations what seemed so complicated becomes so simple! 🥰I'm so glad I found your channel Can I ask for a tutorial on how to create a ribbon brush in the future? Where the "ribbon" image is not made of something simple, but, say, a tree branch with leaves on it and a bark pattern? I tried to create such a brush myself, but when using it, the seams of the image material if i set it to repeat in strokes are very noticeable... And if I try to set the brush so that it recreates an image material branch by stroke without repeating it, the branch stroke becomes too small and long despite the original size of the image material. It's okay if you refuse, I am still happy to see any tutorials you make!
This is a great method what I'm confused about is why Clip Studio doesn't have an option for adjusting rows and columns once you make a pattern. for making a brick pattern easily. Anyway, I'm saving this video for reference for making seamless patterns. Have a great day!
Not me using this method for an art program i already have instead of having to purchase adobe illustrator. I will do anything to avoid purchasing another program
It's astonishing that, nearly 20 years in, you still can't do something as basic as offset-wraparound in CSP, while in the meantime you can animate with sound. Cover the basics first, guys, seriously.
I'd love to see more versatility with wraparound images, but at the end of the day, it's more an art and animation program than a design program. Hopefully they'll add more features in the future.
This has to be the most simple way of doing a tiled background!!

You're welcome!
Thank you a lot for this tutorial! It really helps me doing patterns for college assignments!
Glad I could help!

Thank you for tutorial.
I do agree that'd be really helpful!
Thanks a lot for this one. Looking forward for more tutorials.
Used this to make a grid for drawing tabletop maps that finally works with Roll20. Great job!
Thank you, I'm glad I could help!
Thank you so much! You've given me a much faster way to create patterns in Clip Studio now. Almost as fast as I can do it in Adobe Illustrator now!
Thank you this is exactly what I needed to know within 90 seconds
you saved me, thanks i love you for posting this 💖💖🗣🗣🗣🗣
Awesome! right to it and with the correct pacing of teaching!
Thank you so much! Very easy to understand and helpful :)
you are the hero!!thank you!
Krita is free and has a good wraparound feature. Use the right tool for the job.
You are the best, thank you for this!
This is an amazing technque. Thank you very much for this tutorial, it really helped!

You're welcome, hopefully it'll be useful!
Now I can make a background that can loop in an animation, thanks for the tutorial!😃
You're welcome! I actually have a video planned soon too, talking about looping keyframe animations, like rainfall. :D
@@MsRedNebulaArt looking forward to it😀
Thank you for this tutorial! Definitely going to use this for some fun personal projects ^^

I'm glad you like my tutorials - and I do plan to do a ribbon brush tutorial pretty soon! Hopefully within the next few weeks. :)
Any tutorial about a half drop repeats please
It doesn't look like there's a built-in way to do it, but I'll look into it and see if I can figure out a workaround!

They're always adding new features, hopefully they'll put in half drop repeats if enough people request them!
