    I just wanted to thank you for this amazing video! I am a single mum with two 10 years old kids, our boiler stopped working for couple of days, I tried to ask someone to come and have a look but I couldn’t afford! Last night, we had to cuddle up each other to keep warm! 🥺, I came home today thinking let’s look at UA-cam how to fix a boiler! I followed your video and it started to work! Thx again! I know maybe loads of people know how to fix these things but so many like me don’t! Again thank you!

    This worked. There are instructions on the inside of the casing but due to brain damage they are hard to understand and follow. This video did it perfectly. Found the two taps beneath the boiler, turned them on, though cannot find the gauge, only a heating gave. No matter, it worked. Many, many thanks.;

    Jane you are a life saver, we took all the air out the radiators and lost pressure to the boiler, we then watched loads of video and found no useful tips on how to sort it. We then come across your video and connected the pipes and put loads more water in the system and guess what we have heating 😅,

    Please remember folks, if your boiler pressure is dropping on a regular basis (monthly) topping it up all the time will introduce oxygenated water into the system more than it is required. Only top up your boiler pressure a few times a year, if its more than that getting an engineer out could save you alot of money in the long haul.

    the filling loop on your boiler is easy to understand, I have a GloWom boiler which has a built in filling loop which has a central cut off up and down valve and two side valves which are difficult to turn the central cut off always has me foxed.

    One of the valves doesn't close fully and lets a dribble of water through. Can i just leave the flexi pipe in place so when i want to top the pressure i can just turn the black levers to fill up ?
    If i was to replace the faulty valve, would i need to turn off the mains water and flow and return valves on the boiler ?

    • @dereton33

    I have this exact boiler except no filling loop I just have 1 valve to open to let water in. If I fill my boiler as high as 1.5, it will go up far too much when the heating is on. Is it normal for the pressure to raise so much when running?

    Hi, we have same issue with Ariston boiler. Boiler not kick in when we turn hot water tap in kitchen. rarely we get hot water in kitchen once in blue moon even though bar pressure is between 1 and 2 around 1.6 . Upstairs boiler kicks in only in that case if you open hot water tap fully. no issues with central heating that work absolutely fine. Any suggestion ? we have asked our plumber he suggested it could be diverted valve or boiler issue.

    • @dereton33
      @dereton33  2 роки тому

      Yes it will be a problem with the 3 way valve not turning to hot water to allow the boiler to fire up.

    Good morning, I am after some advice please on balancing a radiator system, all my radiators have lockshields at both ends no trvs fitted, lockshields are identical and they both have the same caps on each lockshield so cannot distinguish between either my problem is I don't know which one to open and which one to close when balancing system your advice will be greatly received thanks once again

    • @dereton33

      Hi Dave it does not matter which valve you choose on each radiator, Leave one fully open and turn the other one down. as they are all lock shields. Use pliers to turn them down.
