I always feel like I’m riding into a great battle on horseback in slow motion when I hear this. Drops of sweat falling at each thud as my horse gallops over rough terrain. One hand on the reins and sword swaying slightly. upright in my other hand. An arrow rotating right next to my face as it narrowly passes by. Music is a wonderful thing.
One of my favorite things to do with music like this is play 2 instances of it on top of each other, desynced with each other by 1-2 seconds. Makes for a really interesting harmonic effect. If you do it right, the drumbeats can even sound like heartbeats.
