Thanks for posting this. I actually watched The Work for the first time a couple of days ago and signed up for an Mankind Project intro course.

I wish they had this kind of retreat for women. I need it.

Check out Angelo’s multimodal retreat at Art of Living in May ‘25; it’s all about this!

Try inside circle, or come to multimodality retreat in May, they will be there (with female facilitator).

THIS is why life is hopeful! As much as there are problems with social media etc. there are these magnificent conversations where we can all tap in. This is truly hopeful.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful interview. Bud is so genuine and compassionate. This work is important for our men, and for us all. Wish I could give this man a big hug right now. His art is incredible! I looked into the Women Within. They do online circling, and will have a Weekend this year about an hour away from me. 🤔 Thank you! 🥰

Just listening to this weirdly opened me up and makes feel somethings more accessible. Definitely feel more emotional bubbles too.

I had an extremely negative experience with Mankind Project. A word of caution: these groups attract people from all walks of life, including extremely toxic wolves in sheep’s clothing that want to prey on vulnerable people in need of help. Exercise discernment.

      What was your experience ?

@ I did the weekend thing, and experienced a lot of fake toxic love bombing from other attendees. I wrote it off as “hey, these guys are in pain, need help, and are just playing the game they’ve learned, and they are just attendees”. Then I started attending local meetings, and ran in to people in leadership and “elders” who were the same way. Energy vampires, manipulative predation on vulnerable people. These were truly toxic people I could see had no interest or ability to help other people, they were only there for adoration or to covertly dump their pain on vulnerable people. I saw that the balance of power was in favor of these people and there was little discernment by other non toxic leadership. I became disillusioned with it, and bailed on the group. Have since seen similar dynamics in other men’s groups. It really is a fragile thing to have these groups, and requires extreme levels of integrity from its leaders.

Hi Angelo, another really good interview and Bud is such a wonderful man. That being said, one question I would like to ask is, how does one who has considerable talent, intelligence, financial and social success approach another who has no such resources without causing that person to start psychologically comparing themself detrimentally, thus exacerbating that torment? Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

Vulnerability is the only way. Meeting in your humanness.
