Danny Elfman is by far my favorite composer. I've loved him since Corpse Bride. So you can imagine my pleasant surprise when I find out my favorite song off this soundtrack is composed by the musical genius himself.
@@javieralbadalejo6354 don’t know much about this specific song, but it’s possible it was produced by Elfman. When songs are created specifically for a film, often times the composer of the film’s score produces the song. In some cases, composers may even write the instrumental for the track with the lyrics written by the film’s writers and director. All the performer does is, well, perform the lyrics.
Nostalgia to me is when you're trying to sleep, and then from the recesses of your mind flows strong memories of times gone by. Sometimes those good times seem so far behind you that you just sit up in your bed in the darkness and say to yourself, "I wanna go back there." This song reminds me of my old hometown, and all the friends who used to live there with me before we all went our separate ways. It's important to live in the present though, because we're always laying the foundation for nostalgia years for years to come, and living each day is the best way not to miss it.
A lot of the instrumentation reminds of me of late-Beatles stuff. The "What are we gonna do?" section is very McCartney-esque. Awesome production and catchy melodies - Danny Elfman should be proud.

this was one of my favorite songs in 2007 listening to this on the bus ride home from school on a cheapy MP3 player hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago
Kinda reminds me of making endless projects and trying things new to see how it may turn out. I guess the purpose of this song did a good job at fitting the scene it played in. ;)
Kept trying to find this for years, eventually decided it didn’t exist and that I made it up in my head out of some other song. Had an amazing revelation when I rewatched meet the Robinson’s

The worst part about this song is that everyone Kept Moving Forward until they stopped listening to it. Man, it makes me so sad to know that the chances of getting another masterpiece from Disney like this are so slim. But it had a good run, and I'd do it all over again, if I could. In the end, the film is very, very true. Almost to a frightening level. Moving forward is what allows progress and growth. If you stay behind, like Mike did, you'll miss out on all the amazing possibilities of life. And those possibilities are nearly infinite, as presented in the movie. I have a saying, and I feel like it's pretty true: "'Impossible' is just a word that people use to describe things nobody's done yet." So to anyone and everyone reading this: Keep Moving Forward.
