Great job, guys!!! I really that fact that you did the cover collaboratively, which is one of the most inspiring and unique aspects of Cacophony, the way two awesome guitarists could work together to make something out of this world.
Technically more of a Marty Friedman song. Jason improvised the different parts. Many of the parts of Speed Metal symphony can be located in Hawaii (Vixen) works Go Off was the one with more of Jason's input.
Thanks! I'm glad! Longer vids usually take more time with processing, I'd do that all the time but people don't watch it as much as I'd like them to. :)
😮😮😮 working on such a song without a score is impressive , congrats ...but to be honest it's wasted time for a professionnal musician : perfect for young students but dats all . Anyway awesome job ❤
That is exactly what it does, since stuff like this is so fast, most people, or generally all people just do not have the muting technique to literally always be muting the other strings. So it’s actually really smart to use it for studio recordings, if your attempting at that whole perfect sound kind of thing. I do not suggest it live tho, since you have to move it in order to play open strings on the spot. There’s obviously been players who don’t use them, like EVH or someone like that, but usually his licks don’t incorporate that super incredibly technical shred. People like Zaki Wylde or even Marty Friedman here actually hit the strings so damn hard that most any other noise can’t be heard, so that works, but don’t mistake hitting hard to be good technique, unless you can pull it off.
@@dermilos.6930 Fascinating stuff. I always used to snip a rubber band, then weave it through the strings above the nut to "dampen" any harmonic noise. Sounds like this is the same idea, but a better design. Cool!

Id like to know who makes whos parts. Can you tell using the guitars as reference?
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘
Thanks! Yes. I play Jason's part, Magy plays Marty's part.
What is the strap wrapped around the first fret? Does it dampen open string noise?

Yes! Check out Gruv Gear , they make these! They're called fretwraps
@@JiriRambousekOfficial Thank you, I just bought one. Is that a Yngwie strat with scalloped frets too!? Nice!
대단허다 헐
Thanks!
is the strat scalloped? a Malmsteen strat?
Oh yes!
