She was our dog Griffy's Auntie Kim...it's how we all met. She loved her own dog Riley as fiercley as her screams, and was really one of the best souls on the planet. I haven't been able to stop crying in over a week, nor have I been able to sleep because I wake up and have to realize she's gone, so I'd rather stay up all night and listen to her voice. I'm sad at her passing. I'm more sad, very selfishly and quite horribly, that I didn't know her. That I went thru that time when she was making music, and I was unaware of her. I found her by, on a lark, I just thought up a DuckDuckGo question: great unknown bands of the 80s. And "Kids in America" by The Muffs was the first that came up. My life was poorer for not having known her and her music until now. But my life is blessed that I now know of her. And I'll look into her bandmates now, and other music of hers. My condolences to family of Kim Shattuck. She had something special about her, and within her. I didn't know her til today, and here I am nearly in tears.
