"My staple crop" 🤣🤣🤣 lets see how this goes! Personally all my vegies go to the canning factory, but peas are a huge PITA always because they only yield 9600L base per HA, so you can do the math on space and time required LOL. 21:00 I may need to go watch a few more videos to get caught up, but have you thought about purchasing the cabinet or it may be called the carpentry shop? You can make more off your long and short planks you are already making
You can remove the tree stumbs with your chainsaw! Just hold the saw over it and when you got the red marker you can remove it by running the saw untik it disapear.
Peas are good for middle-stages. You have one large (long) field and set an AI worker to it. Then you just have to help unload periodically. The payout is more than the cost of the AI worker so let them do the work for you. But not good for inital crops.
Unload the peas into the Grain West Silo. They will stay there till you sell them with the train. You don't have to sell them right away. You can sell them when the price is right. You can also store multiple fruits there and load them back into your truck or trailer later on.
Lol I tried the peas too long time ago. I'll try everything new. But I chuckled when you said it's going to be your staple crop. My thought was "no it won't be" and no the harvester doesn't hold much peas. And peas basically suck. 😂
Yeah they REALLY do lol. After peas I didn't try any of the other veggie crops because people warned me away from them. I may give carrots a shot though since the modded harvesters that does 4 rows instead of one released.
I love that contracts give you a taste of different crops. Tells me I hate carrots with a passion. If you don't have a friend then trying to follow the harvester hurts. I'd rather work with peas or beans because the harvesters have storage. And although the contracts do take time but they sell well and are worth it. However my plan is to do crops I avoided in FS22. I did a bit of grapes and olives but want to do those. I'll end up doing a vegetable maybe spinach. Then I'll likely keep up silage and grass for cows. Might eventually do cotton and get back into sugar beets or cane. I loved doing sugar beets in FS22.
Honestly right now the sawmill is so profitable for me. Just one brings in tens of thousands per month. I am going to switch things up in the next couple episodes and do something very different on the farm :) Stay tuned..
I agree. I couldn’t even complete the carrot contract as the tiny pipe wouldn’t fit in the trailer they gave me. I just cancelled the contract and took a loss. I will avoid root crops but peas look fun
Peas are slow but its not as bad as you make it to be. Yes the worker leaves patches at the ends and that is annoying but the mess in the corners is the worker clearing a half circle shape and it goes slow but works in the end. In the small production you can get pallets of canned peas that sell for approx $10k per pallet. Works well enough for me.
Something about the beams and sawmill. 1. The main sawmill is the most productive one. 2. If you set it to sell its selling every hour but you loose like 20% i belive. And 3. Long planks you are loosing money on, so if ur not using it in a build or something, u shuld t make them ^^.
Something I didn't realize initially. You can set the sawmill to produce all of the products at the same time. It does not have to just be a single product. How cool, right?
I found doing peas and green beans have the worker do just the up and down and not the headlands. Works so much better. And yeah peas, green beans are like root crops have to store them on ground or train silos
I'm with you, peas are a pain. I planted a 23 acre pea field, spent hours of real time harvesting in. I think next time I'll just plant wheat lol. You can't store peas anywhere except buy more carts. I ended up buying the cannery and doing canned peas.
@@hugz6559 After doing the first half of the field manually I found something that seems to work for the most part. Do the headlands like you suggested - AI sucks right now - then let AI do the up and downs. While AI is doing that take a Farmtech 28m3 cart and parallel it when the unloading belt is facing the correct way. I play in the north so the cannery is close enough where I can unload and be back before the harvester is full. Good luck! Even IRL I hate peas though, LOL!
Vegetables are terrible using base game equipment, and there is nowhere to store them. But if you are going to do them, leasing is the best option. You cover the cost and make a profit, and don't have to go back to them again afterwards. 😂
I didn't like vegetable crops in FS22 and it looks like that opinion isn't going to change anytime soon in FS25. I don't have the game yet but I was thinking about combining those 3 fields too and planting cotton on them and then doing grass (silage) on that other field off by itself.
@hugmuffinzz6559 wasn't really all bad though to be honest. With GPS and cruise control it was very easy, only had AI on it a couple of times when I had to empty the trailer. Found the best method was to skip 1/2 lines each run, after 4 laps of the headland. Was quite relaxing, and I could watch UA-cam while I was harvesting lol
All three of the new crops have time issues. Even if they were worth double what they are, the cash you get per real life hour played is pretty awful. They keep nerfing silage every iteration, but it's still crazy good even now.
@@hugz6559it is fine and worth it if you just let the ai worker do the field while you work on other jobs. I did mod the harvester to increase the tank capacity though to limit going back and forth to empty.
Never buy. Always lease first. You should only buy if it's on sale and you're ready for a commitment cause you'd have to harvest 7 or 8 times before you'd make all the money back on the purchase of the harvester alone. So you're making almost a 10-year commitment. Well maybe half that if you sell the harvester eventually, but 5 years is still a lot.
I was trying to avoid mods for the most part but I may have to if I am going to make peas doable. Its either that or just get a very big trailer and keep them stored in it.
I hate how bad the economy is balanced. Especially with new crops. Grapes, olives and vegetables all have a huge initial investment cost and are rather work intense, but only yield a mediocre profit. I like the gameplay, but it's just sad when you know exactly you could have made 10x more money with grass or wood in the same time.
train silo is a multifruit storage and u can store there if you dont have a silo at the farm, best thing about train silos

I don't want to spoil anything :) we have made a LOT of progress. I just recorded episode 21 today.

Harvesting them is like watching paint dry.

After new update, peas are on next level, they are 2x better, 34 000 Euros per hectare
thanks for doing peas, good to know ill never do them lmao maybe theres a production that you can throw em in to make more off your investment
I did peas these days and at the end I was like "oh boy, why ?" 😂
Nice video btw, keep it up ^^
I hear ya! Peas are the worst! 😂

You can store the peas at the train depot for free. You can then sell them on the train or unload them back on a wagon to sell at another place.
You just blew my mind. Thank you. What a great idea!
@@hugz6559 You're welcome brother. New subscriber here! You're fun to watch. Keep it up.
You can store basically any crop at the grain elevator.

Oh man. I feel your pain. I am probably going to do them again in the future to use the cannery since that seems a little more feasible.

I was just about to start planting peas on 8 fields but I’ll wait 😂
@@JBGOTGAME You have chosen, wisely. 🤣
@ I’ll just stick with the basic crops vegetables farming is a high investment 🤣
You should increase the draw distance a little bit so the feild load in completely

Yeah I Agree! Lesson Learned.
Root crops take forever to harvest. I took a contract that took me 2hr in RL to harvest 1 field. I will not be growing root crops.
The Ai can not handle larger harvesters. I had the same problem with the Sugar Beet Harvester too.The Ai is Bugged.
And what I found on Google is you need to box them using a grimme and store them on pallets until you wanna sell
I will have to look into that. Someone else also suggested storing them at the train yard.
your sawmill only sells what's being produced before it hits the pickup slot the wood that's in the slot you have to sell it
Thanks! I also didn't realize it can make more than one product at a time.

My video that came out the other day is almost that exact setup but instead of cotton I did wheat on megafield.
I hit a new recored bailing the same field. 6 times plus saves. Its bin rough. I sold the field in the end.
I did a contract on riverbend field 26 i think it was. Took 2.5 hours to harvest the field full of peas 😳 $20k payout but it was painfully slow lol
Oof. I'm so sorry my friend in farming. Trust me when I say I know the pain lol.

You need to " Reset" the field....it's a bug that's well known !
You can actually store all your products there
You have to mod the XML file on the harvester to a thousand dollars or pea's are a joke !
No more peas for me. From what I have seen and heard basically all the veggies are extremely tedious.
Sell that Truck immediately 😂💔
It’s horrible
That thing was outta my yard within a day or two 😂
If you can believe it, the helpers are even worse doing corn for silage.
I was going to go with grass which they seem to be pretty decent with.
_Give peas a chance_ John Lennon 2024
🤣
lol
if you get the canning factory and can the peas there worth more
Do you think its worth the time investment though?
@@hugz6559it is fine and worth it if you just let the ai worker do the field while you work on other jobs. I did mod the harvester to increase the tank capacity though to limit going back and forth to empty.
You better do field corners yourself before starting an AI job. Makes them easier to work, and doesn't decrease your yield.
They probably have to be stored loose like potatoes and all

I hear you on that one! I'll have to be more careful about what I buy going forward.
You have to download a multfruit silo

Yep, we will have to see if they make any balancing passes or maybe it will get adjusted with mods.
