I'm fine with this kind of mechanic being present so new people can get into the game as long as there is either some sort of big trade-off or other limitations involved in addition to the cooldown the Wirebugs had. For example each rescue could use up a significant amount of stamina and stop its recovery for a few seconds or lower the max stamina cap a bit each time which can be regained later by eating rations and so on. You could also make it finite and tie it to an item like a treat for the Seikret or something. I also like your suggestion by making it skill based through timed button presses. There is lots of ways to implement and balance it.
1:54 Speaking as an outsider who isn't familiar with this game, the concept of a mount who can be quickly summoned to pull you from harm is absolutely endearing! It would be one thing if the animation was your character climbing on under their own power in the middle of a falling animation, but the mount itself appears to be lifting you out of harms way! It makes the creature read not as just a beast of burden that is summoned, but one that is actively attuned to the situation and responding out of urgency for your well-being!
True! A lot of people thinks wirefall makes it easier to get out of pin attacks which completely makes the monster pin mechanic less impactful. but yes its more of makes the gameplay faster.

Exactly! I want them to focus on the balancing it more. But if it gets more players in the game then why not
That frog a freak 😳
The wirefall being a mount would be hell because it's not instant. It reminds me base game rise where the dogs just aint picking you up
dog aint workin🗣❗

wirefall isn't making it easier, simply faster pace. handheld was designed to be played in short sessions as opposed to home console long play
