I can understand the mother anger she's young. She just starting her life. But she needs support. Just like she had when she was pregnant whether she was a teen or not. Even adults who were not teens who were adults and married and had a baby needed support during pregnancy.

having a baby isn't THAT BAD at 17. it's much worse at 13... girls do get talked into it, or forced into it at 11-13. so that's when it's real bad. but 17... you are basically grown up at that point. you'll probably be 18 before you have the baby.
Yes, it's not as bad as 13, but it doesn't make it good. I feel a lot of these comments are from people with child pregnancies, and it feels like you are justifying these act when they shouldn't. Also 18 is not grown up, yes you've went through puberty, but you are still job-less, going through education and other stuff. I'd say 25 - 31 is best to conceive a baby

My dad was born to a girl just about a month shy of her 16th birthday. Then again, his father had to marry her because he had fathered the baby when he was 17 and she was 15 (while watching _Bambi_ at a drive-in cinema).
What I DO NOT understand watching and hearing about all these teen girls getting pregnant in the US: aren't there any awareness that there anti conception pills, IUD etc... quite e long time already?
No contraception is 100% effective and in some rare cases like myself no contraception works as I get pregnant very easy even on the pill, implant, injection all failed !! I was told I'd never have kids as I can't carry and misscarry from six to twelve weeks every time I've had twelve pregnancies all on contraception either the pill, depo injection and on the implant the last one was last year and my implant should have been good for another year !! I did manage to carry two to birth but both were very very premature but I've misscarried the other ten. In a way its good I can't carry as I'd have twelve children by now 😳 but it breaks my heart everytime I lose a child sadly they refuse to let me be sterilised as I'm too young I first asked to be done when I was in my twenties over twenty years ago, they did promise me they would sterilise me when my last baby was born but changed their mind as my child had less than 5% chance of survival and they thought I may want to try again if they did die I told them I'd sign anything just get me sterilised but nope they refused and then after my child was safe they still refused to do it and as a result I went on to have four more pregnancies 🙄. So sometimes pregnancy for some people is unavoidable regardless of what they do to prevent it my friend had her first baby at 16 and she was on contraception and another friend had twins at 17 she also was on contraception so it does happen and it's not always a result of them not been responsible and not been on contraception it's just the contraception failed
