this is the first time I'm listening to Pablo.. did not know he can rap like this haha all I know is that he's part of the Filipino pop group SB19🔥🔥 Filipino pride like Ez 🇵🇭🇵🇭
Well he's the main rapper of SB19 after all.
Well you have to check SB19 PABLO DETERMINADO WITH HIS BROTHER JOSHUE. THEY WON DJOOKY MUSIC AWARDS.
I don't really know much about their roles in the group and their latest music but this is filipino pride right here🔥🔥
SB19's music, rap, and VOCALS are topnotch. They have diverse discography covering multiple genres. For a start, you may check the official videos of WHAT, Bazinga, and MAPA.

Pablo is still part of SB19. Nobody's leaving from the group. La Luna is his solo project just like Felip's (Ken of SB19's) song Palayo.
Yup! SB19 is still together and getting along very well. The members releasing solo projects are just expressions of how creative and musically diverse each are -- more like individual passion projects. 😉

Pablo is the writer/composer, co-producer, main rapper, lead singer, and leader of the biggest boy group in the Philippines - SB19. His lyricism has always been fire, making us dub him as a LYRICAL GENIUS. And he sure can spit bars in English, Korean, and Filipino. Generally, all rappers in SB19 are top tier. You could check their songs like Bazinga (the longest TOP trending song on Billboards) and WHAT (song about individuality, raising and being proud of of one's flag, of oneself, ) music videos.
The guy sitting on the floor was Sejun (Pablo's stage name) when he was still playing safe in their music because he didn't know if others would accept their genre as SB19.. while Pablo is the guy who has come out of his comfort zone and has the courage to show what his ability is in producing music. If you listen to GET IN THE ZONE first album of SB19, the genre is far from their 2nd album entitled "Pagsibol" where Pablo who has the freedom to release a song without being dictated by their company.. hope you can check out SB19's music like WHAT? "A tooth is noticeable if it's missing" means that people can quickly see what you lack than all the things that you have. Or pointing flaws and mistakes gets more attention than all the good things that you did. That's what it means for me. 🙂
The ending verse where "especially" keeps being repeated is a lost in translation play on words. The Tagalog of "especially" is "lalo na" which is homophonous to "la luna". I like to think that the non-believers he mentions who will get devoured could also include his shackled self who is a personification of his self doubt. Idk if you noticed the ending where this shackled Pablo is shown to have the keys all along. His Tagalog bars cut deeper.
I like your observation about "the moon sees" and how he may be doing stuff he is hiding at night. Pablo has revealed that he writes and composes songs around the wee hours of the night. Prior to the release of this song, he is the sole composer of SB19's Pagsibol EP, so maybe he could be saying the moons sees the other songs that he hasn't unleashed on the world yet as Pablo, starting with this one.

This song is about Pablo freeing himself from fear and expectations of the society and unleashing the "Alpha Wolf" within so he can realize his full potential. In SB19, he is being referred to as the Alpha Wolf, being the leader of SB19 (the pack). That's why in this song, his alpha ego is the wolf as well when you see the scratchy drawings and the picture of the wolf flashed right before the hook.
To be clear, Alpha is a nickname some of the fandom call Pablo, not something that came from SB19 afaik. I lowkey find it cringe since it reminds me of alpha/sigma/beta male psuedoscience from influencer dating gurus. (But kinda cool that alpha wolf behavior is only observed in wolves in captivity, and he is literally shackled in this video) 😅
@@rupokki Yes, the fans are the ones who came up with it. Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with the term "Alpha Wolf". It is just us people who put a negative connotation to it. In reality, a lot of studies suggest that wolf packs are usually led by Alphas, and the Alphas are usually wolves that are breeding couple or pair, so Alphas can both be a male and a female wolf.

Yes, he is from SB19. This is just his own single--a solo project. He's still in SB19 (he's actually the group's leader and resident songwriter, so he's very essential to the group). It's just that all 5 members individually have their own strengths as artists. In fact, there is already one member--Ken--who released his own single way back in September 2021.
It's like how Jennie and Rose, and Lisa have their own respective solo singles while still being members of Black Pink. In these solo projects, the members are given a chance (even encouraged) to express their own artistry. SB19's Ken (solo stage name is "Felip") and Pablo have VERY different sounds/music. Their music is also very different from their work on SB19.
SB19 nurtures each members talents and they don't limit themselves although they come at compromises for group projects. That's why solo projects like this is important. Last year it was Felip (Ken), their main dancer that released a solo. Now its Pablo, the leader. There are some hints that their main vocal is also preparing something. Their expanding their musicality individually and putting SB19 as their middle point.

Haha I appreciate how you came up with "the group not appreciating him". It only means that the MV was so dark, emotional and stimulating. But no, Pablo's in a really good place with the group😊 He just expressed that it's time to come out of his comfort zone and be who he wants to be, without listening to any more doubts. Pablo's song is about unleashing your inner wolf (the real alpha in you), which in fantasies and legends usually happen every time the moon is out or full moon (so that's where La Luna came from). "The moon always sees" does not really mean it is a witness of his wrongdoings. In his song teaser, he said that sorrow is always there once the moon comes. So in the song, it meant the the moon (sorrow) will always be there. You just need to get used to it and come out as who you are instead of restraining yourself from grief, fear and judgement. Thanks for checking this out. I like it when a reactor gives attention to the lyrics and meaning of the song. LA Luna spits bars, very deep lyrics with a lot of metaphors. Pablo is a genius lyricist. He speaks about our duality, one that is so afraid about public's opinion trying to please or do what the majority wants unlike the other person who wants to unleash his hidden potentials and just be yourself and do what makes you happy and proud. The moon is the witness of all his struggles during his dark moments. This song speaks about our mental health which is very relevant to most of us. This MV is fire, it gives you a suspense and cinematic feel!🔥

Pablo wrote this song before their group SB 19 became popular. He said he was inspired by the wolf character in his favourite game THE WITCHER who transforms when there is a full moon. To prevent harming others, he put shackles on.

Pablo is very poetic.. he can give you words and interpret it very literally but only to realize he meant something else.. in A’tin fandom we brainbleed (yes haha) when he drops us his poems.. sometimes we’re lucky to receive some clues from him of what his poems talk about but most of the time twitter gets flooded with theories/interpretations.. with La Luna even after listening to it hundred of times, I am still trying to tailor my interpretations on every lyric 🥲 Thank you for reacting 💙

This song is just about the struggle to go out there and show your talent but that person is just hesitant because he has hidden his talents for the longest time afraid of what toxic people will say. He has this battle within himself, the one who wants to take a risk to the one who wants to take the safe road and just hide his skills from the world. Pablo is not leaving the group. During their Parcinq Magazine interview Pablo mentioned that when he was not yet a member of SB19, he was afraid to perform in front of the crowd because of his fear that people will not like him and his fear of rejection. But he said that for him music is medicine because through music he can express everything that he feels. So when he became a part of SB19 people loved him and his music so he said that later on he conquer his fear.
I beg to disagree that the bars are basic. If you understand Filipino language, the words are very deep, poetic, and full of double/triple entendre. The words that he used are so cohesive that it flows naturally and 'hindi pilit' (not forced). Just my 2 cents. 😉

Although I think your take that he’ll be leaving SB19 is quite troubling indeed as he is an integral part of the group. You could also check out SB19’s “Bazinga” and “What?”, both songs penned by Pablo, as almost all SB19 songs are.
The song is about.. each of us have duality.
The first Pablo referring to our fear, depression, anxiety, dependent..and afraid to come out from his shell. The 2nd persona, wanting to come out from his shell.. doing things he want to do.. doesn't care what others say, more aggressive in a good way. This persona has been locked in ourselves and the only way to unlocked is only ourselves too.

There are 2 personalities here - one who was chained by his fears, worries, depression, world judgement for so many years; and the alpha who broke free and unleashed the beast in him. The alpha version is unafraid and ready to devour anyone who goes in the way. In a sense, the song is inspiring us to break free from what chains us and unleash the beast in us - be an alpha taking control of your life. I call this a lyrical rap with storytelling and theatrical acting. He is really a genius. He is my only bias and I am so proud of him 🙂
He is not leaving his group...this piece was written long before when he is experiencing hard times were rejections, and he felt that there is no one to turn too when needed the most. It's somehow unleashing the inner you who is more determined to do things independently without others help. You just to unlock the real you to let the world know how far you can go just by believing and relying on your help or only few true friends and people. Your game, your race, own phase you only could limit your self wether people believes you not your business anymore. Just show them what you got!

He made that rapped in the beginning of pandemic, he was talking to himself because his been suffering from depression and he make that rapped for everyone who suffered the same thing, he just want to tell thT soneone needs to accept things that he cannot change, and its time to do something that makes himself happy regarding what other might say...its about accepting and loving oneself...thats what he said....but he said despite of everything we should be remain respectful to others.

In this MV, the backgrounds are flying vampires & he is one of them.looking for victims...In the beginning he was afraid of challenges(shackles) but he has to be strong & face it ..Now he is enjoying success as represents by the vampires.& the moon up.(flying high)..The moon is watching him & he is scared of it but still very thankful ,because it gives him strength to work hard (looking for prey) & now he's enjoying the successes; but inspite of what he is enjoying now,still his feet are on the ground ,meaning he remains humble !!!.

It may seem like he’s unappreciated but Pablo is the beloved Pinuno (leader in Filipino) of SB19 and his band mates are among his closest friends, the ones who didn’t leave him in time of war. This is actually really positive. But Pablo had a funny way of showing it. The "dark" Pablo is actually the one with the good intention. Basically, he is Pablo's full potential. Ang the other Pablo that is shackled at the beginning of the video is his comfort zone...before he had the strength and guts to go out and show his talent to the world. He was so afraid he might do something wrong, be criticized or not be successful. So the other Pablo is trying to convince him to unleash his full potential to the world, making him see that he's healthy because he made it in life enjoying all the perks of the success. So in the end, he finally gave in and had the courage to let the world see the true him. This is genius because he portrayed his talent as a beast, basically leaving their prey no choice but to fear him mirroring doubters or non-believers no choice but recognize his talents. And the moon starting speaks when the beast's power is at its peak or full potential, therefore having the strength to break free. Pablo is in a whole league of his own!
