Sir, u stated buddhism started with buddha n was the older religion, if so why was Buddha's birth name Siddartha, was there any other culture which pre existed for naming him "siddartha"
Also, u told people who were killed started moving to other regions like China, Thailand.. Buddhism was spread across Asia as well as India by Asoka the great.. not by victims who left the place

I have many Buddhist friends. Not every Buddhist is a monk. What ever you said is apt for Buddhist monks but not whole Buddhist community. My friends in Buddhism are not monks and they are same as every other normal person who eat meat, who consume alcohol and who use bad words when they get angry on someone.same as how every other structured religion has highest form of spiritual people and then common people, Buddhists also have monks and general followers. How Hinduism have Rishi/Guru/swamiji’s and General followers, how Christianity has priests and general christians etc, it’s same for Buddhism.
I have no proper knowledge about Buddhist monks being abused in Bharat at the time of Buddhism originating but people everywhere in the world are same. Anytime but mostly in those days some or little more than some people don’t accept new things and react in aggressive ways when they come across something new. In those days where encountering something strange is even more very rare to them with the close awareness they had and those few aggressive people might have reacted in different ways. 95% other people in the whole world are normal and don’t have instant reaction but some people get influenced and triggered when encountering strangeness. I bet we are nothing different than the world then and now when it comes to human psychological perspective.
Degrading the whole nation and projecting some 5% weird people’s behaviour as whole nation’s reaction is not right in my view. What you said about incidents may be true but the words you used in describing the fact and trying to put your own judgement on whole nation is not right.

Fact 1: Buddhism isn't older than Hinduism...
Fact 2: Buddha never answered the question of existence of God; he just remained silent when asked about God...he has always been a pragmatic fellow (madhyama marga avoiding the extremes) and he asked his disciples to do their duty instead of pondering about things that aren't under their control...this is similar to nishkamkarmayoga...
That being said, imho Buddhism is superior to Hinduism in some aspects.

Buddha also shunned all sorts of rituals and festivals..... He took only theoretical aspects of Upanishads and denounced everything else in Hinduism.

Sir, You are right. Buddhism is the older religion because Hinduism as it is presented nowdays was not existing then. Vedas used to worship gods like Indra which is an imaginary sky god. Then Upanishads came and created a whole new concept. An ever knowing Brahman and the self spirit named Atman. Still there is no religion. Then came the gods- Shiva, Shakti, Vishnu. These school of thoughts especially Shaivism and Vaishnavism used to fight with each other in South. All these schools united only when there is a common enemy in the form of Islam from outside. The mughal invaders. That way Hinduism is a relatively new religion. But Shaivism, Shaktheyam and Vaishnavism must be older than Buddhism.
