I believe that u don't have to be religious to be a believer of God. Religion, for the most part, has steered a lot of us in the wrong way. How we were taught and lead was wrong. I've been in church most of my life. I came to believe in Jesus at a very early age but as I grew up, the same people who were teaching me about God, Jesus, Christianity and religion were the same ones that didn't always live out what they were teaching. I have been ostracized in the church, what made it worse was that this church was literally full of members that came from my own family...blood family that is. Because of how they treated me, I left the church. I strayed away from God for a while but just because I strayed doesn't mean He left me alone. He was there with me thru all my hardships and struggles. I look back now and can literally count how many times He saved my life during those times. I have been thru a lot of hell in my first 40 yrs. I am 41 now (Tab is just three months older than me) and even with all I've been thru, I know God has always had His hands on me. I say all this to say that u truly don't have to be a religious person to believe in the Almighty and know without a shadow of a doubt that He is real. People like Kirk Franklin, Lecrae and so many others, along with myself, are losing our religion so that we can have RELATIONSHIP with God. I pray for all that are atheist and feel they just don't believe God is real. I even pray for those who are in between and really not sure what to believe. I pray u will have a personal experience of your own and will come know see and know that the Lord, our God is real. For the Bible says "Every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord" (Philippians 2:10; Romans 14:11 & Isaiah 45:23) The Bible is full of true stories that show even the enemies of God, seeing and knowing for themselves just how real he truly is.
