The conclusion of this drama was absurd; it suggested that Fakhir and Annie should separate because Fakhir is going abroad, and their marriage could pose significant challenges to their freedom. I am deeply disappointed with this ending. The portrayal of divorce in Islam should not be taken lightly. For instance, Ayesha's divorce was justified, but the treatment of Annie and Fakhir's situation is appalling. This serial seems to convey that teenage relationships are acceptable, but marriage (nikah) is not. Both aspects should have been addressed equally. I had no expectations for this outcome, and it distressingly manipulates Quranic teachings. Annie and Fakhir remain intertwined in each other's lives even after divorce, solely for the sake of their child. A more thoughtful ending should have been considered. Reflect on this and issue an apology!
Good take….. I agree Ayesha/Habib was a toxic & abusive dynamic but Annie/Fakir were immature and pressurised to come together but there was care and respect there ……. From an Islamic perspective was it really the best solution….. questionable
I think the one thing I noticed was the western norms they adopted “if there is no current romantic love the relationship has no future” …… on the other hand throughout the show they planted seeds of romance between the two which could have definitely blossomed in the future - this didn’t seem justified
