1000 year old egg looks crazy but if you eat a little bit with rice, as Phil states, it's pretty good. A former co-worker would dice it into congee and it was really good. Dont be afraid to try a little bit with rice.

Only a Jew who went to Michigan has a story that he hasn't eaten mayonnaise till he turned 21. There's so many things that come with mayo you had to have made a concerted effort to avoid it.

Mayo is disgusting. Sure, it's fine as an ingredient in stuff like tuna salad, but it ruins burgers and sandwiches.
Lived in key west Florida for over 10 years and know of many local lower class residents who ate iguana, they were readily available food supply, altho I never tried, lol a chef and would like to think I'm adventurous but even I have some limites
