Hello, really enjoyed this video. We're going to give your cement board technique a try. What size brads/nails did you use to attach the backer board to the counter? Thanks!
Glad you liked it! I used half inch but it all depends on the thickness of your existing counter. Email your finished results to sales@globmarble.com :)
Awesome dude, yeah we are a surecrete distributor and we also manufacture molds/stamp mats for decorative concrete. Check out our website, maybe you're gunna find something you like- www.GlobMarble.com
Can you do this in place (on top of backer board covering odd thick plywood counter) if counter surface is level? Is there an 3 inch front edge you’d recommend with this stunning surface?
Technically yes. Every time I have had to clean dried Microtek off of tools it is a nightmare, this stuff sticks to anything. However, it will probably last much longer if you go the manufacturer recommended way and use cement boards
Cleaning a countertop with a design like that would be pain. How easy is that to scratch? How easy is that to dent? It looks like this is easier for new installs and not existing countertops.
The concrete is very strong and wont dent, the sealer gives great scratch protection. The cleaning part is a valid criticism but id pay that price for having the best looking counters in the neighborhood lol. How would this be easier for new installs? The product is an overlay. If you want to do a new install, you could use the XS Precast which has a PSI of 10k- globmarble.com/concrete-countertop-mix-white.html
I love that way you explain every step making me understand everything without know anything about it 😅
I try my best for diy-ers. Using these products is easier than it looks!
Looks even better in person!
Thanks!!

@@GlobMarble Can you use crown staples?
A bead of silicone bead before clamping the counter & backsplash together might help. I saw some gaps there. Otherwise, solid effort!
Good eye!
excellent work. thanks for the demo.
Glad it was helpful!
Here's a comment to help you out bro! Awesome work!

Great job!!

You've inspired us!
Thanks!
Would you recommend this on existing concrete countertops? Or one of the other products from surecrete?
Definitely use the Microtek, but be sure to grind the countertop!!
Looks amazing!!!
Thank you!!
Great job!!!!!
Thanks!!
Would the microtek adhere to an existing laminate countertop if we don’t decide to user the backer board?
Technically yes. Every time I have had to clean dried Microtek off of tools it is a nightmare, this stuff sticks to anything. However, it will probably last much longer if you go the manufacturer recommended way and use cement boards
