I won't lie. I have been working on my singing voice for years developing a particular style. The first time I heard Chris sing his woeful, gritty style, it made me regret not sounding exactly like him. Seriously my favorite voice on a singer ever.
I am watching this at least once a week since you uploaded it. Thanks so much for sharing! I hope I will make it to Fest one day to see something special like this. Cheers from Austria!
Best version of his cover of Maximum Piss and Vinegar. Crystal clear. Weird that there seemed to be so few D4 fans in Loosey's at this time. Probably all hungover. Oh well. Can't wait to listen to Chris' album.
This set was great. I got up really early to not miss at like 1PM I think? 1PM is a hilariously tough time to make it out in the sun for when you've drank for 2 days of Pre-Fest, and 2 days of Fest proper. That being said, this was awesome. I saw them play 4 times if you count this set, one of which being a B-Sides set later this night. Good times, I love Fest. Best week of the year.
Has anyone else noticed that he sings two different versions of 100? The other version goes I don't wanna talk I'll just sing a 100 songs for someone that doesn't diverse a thing. In this version he doesn't sing that and sings something else.
If you didn't want to watch it, you wouldn't be here to comment, so be a little more appreciative I shot it for you. Also, it's an acoustic show early in the morning with a bunch of songs from an unreleased album (at the time) and a bunch of covers. What kind of crazy were you expecting?

i can definitely relate, but as musicians we all have to find our own styles
He's one of my biggest influences as a vocalist... I like how he can transition in and out of that gritty tone so seamlessly.
One of the best punk musicians in the game!
So perfect 🖤
Just amazing!

Why are there no comments about Tim from Elway in the background?
Has anyone else noticed that he sings two different versions of 100?
The other version goes
I don't wanna talk I'll just sing a 100 songs for someone that doesn't diverse a thing.
In this version he doesn't sing that and sings something else.
He switches up most of his songs like that.. ive seen him play his acoustic stuff live a few times and every songs has been slightly different
the second song he plays has the same chords, chord progression and timing as "luca" by brand new
well he plays one note at a time out of the chords in luca, its still the same chords
The Flatliners were around longer then Brand New.
i totally wasnt saying that one band copied another band. a lot of songs have similar chords. but i didnt know that ... huh.
+yfz450rider39 Brand New formed 2000 The Flatliners 2002
The second song he played was originally by Dead To Me
Cool as fuck
I haven't heard most of these songs, which albums are they from?
ClassWarrior87 His solo album on One Week Records mostly.
thanks, I will have to check it out because it's great. I feel like Inviting Light largely took a similar direction.
wow its so cool to see how everyone is going crazy and not filming #sofuckingpunk

What band sings that song 100???
Fairly sure it's just a Chris Cresswell song.
Ya must be I looked all over the web.
the first song isnt from the flatliners.. from who it is?
Pretty sure it's just a Chris Cresswell solo song.
2000's "Canadian" Bob Dylan
Is he playing half a step/full step down?
