- Despite his call for peace, love, and tolerance, "Christians" have historically ignored the teachings of their namesake, Jesus Christ, and led the multitudes in beating the war drums. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) brilliantly illustrates the hypocrisy of many such so-called "Christians" in this short story.
I had not heard of this until very recently. How is this peace?? Mark Twain was so very spiritually in tune…. I wish I had known of this much earlier, now that I am 69 years old.
What an excellent narration.
This should be a mandatory read at
18 years old.
He predicted this wouldn't be released until he had been dead for a decade and he was correct.

Unfortunately we use the media to promote hate will music and movies
So we become ignorant to another and selfish I believe that one they we will change the destructive behavior
