- Lady Gaga went from New York girl to global superstar with her overnight success of “Just Dance.” In a 2009 interview unearthed for Access Hollywood’s podcast “The Vault” she revealed how Britney Spears helped her break into the music industry after she wrote “Quicksand” for the pop star. Lady Gaga said, “She was different in a way… she’s very careful about what she says and she’s very very classy and she sort of pulled me up but doing that. I’m a newbie.” Adding, “I feel having me write a song for her, that she gave me a lot of credit for, that means a lot, she doesn’t have to do that. I mean why would she do that if I’m new and I’m essentially trying to take her spot.” Lady Gaga also revealed that there was “some talk” about performing together.

Yes. A thing I admire on Britney is that she never, ever, talk bad about nobody. A lot of famous people talk bad about Britney and she never answered the same way, she's always politely, classic and lovely.
If was me, and I need to say I don't like fight, a lot of time I would answer the same way, and Britney is really very kind and educated.
she also talked good about miley cyrus when everyone was hating on her. now look at miley. lady gaga knew that miley knew what she was doing as an artist
being able to talk bad about somebody is not necessarily a bad thing. bad people exist and sometimes you need to address it properly. had she been able to speak out about her father soon maybe she would have been free sooner.

I understand when she said she thought nobody would believe, the media just need to say she is mentally dangerous and a lot of people don't believe on her. Still when we clearly see she can't make bad to a fly, I've seen people saying she's dangerous to others and to her. I really think the only thing is missing in her is a little hate, and now she has. @Meima “Parents money unmatched” ? I would have to factually disagree with that because her Parents were middle-class and when Gaga left uni her father said she had a year to get settled alone. She used to call bars and pretend she was her own manager, go and knock on door steps and make opportunities for herself. I get what you mean with enabling circumstances… however I would have to say this does not give her justice. She truly made something of herself and worked hard and was determined! She had drive and wanted to be a star cause she believed she was! She always talks about the importance of believing in yourself and not giving up! (That’s her best advice she received from Tony Bennett through Duke Elington “Rule no. 1: Never Give Up. Rule no. 2: Always listen to rule number 1” In her Oscar speech when she said that she’s worked hard for a long time and it’s not about winning but what it’s about is not giving up that if you have a dream you have to fight for it and there’s a discipline for passion, Gaga is talent combined with a ton of hard-work, authenticity, creativity, intelligence, uniqueness and is truly a kind and genuine artist. She has a revolutionary spirit that has helped millions of lives and an inspiration to many. She has so much drive in her and perseverance to have come where she is now and it’s definitely not from “enabling circumstances” but she built herself up!

I try to think positive and strong yet I have had epilepsy for a long time and other health concerns but gone through alot more but I do try to think positive,right now I am way too stressed like Britney Spears especially how I thought I had a good exboyfriend/soulmate at work but he was too very insecure and broke up with me twice and more!

She’s one rare celebrity that’s an EASY target and who has been slammed the hardest like no other by the paps and yet, no one in Hollywood has ever talked bad of her. Not anyone that matters anyway. Just think; the world came to her defense when her family wooldnt. The world has sat and watched Britney get pushed around, bullied, used, sucked dry, abused etc and for so long it went on. A very select and few hard supporters came to her rescue and faced ridicule for it before gaining global acceptance and support. And now, the world resuced Britney. And reminded her she’s got a voice that can shake the globe. And Britney stood up and used that voice that she was reminded of, in open court, for the world.. for her fans… and we got a window view glance of exactly what has been going down and I truly believe that was Britney’s way of saying thank you in the best and only way she knew how. For the time being anyway.
That was Britney using her fans as a support system when her fanily wouldn’t and couldn’t be trusted.
My point, name one celebrity who has this power. There are none. Britney has a magic. She’s got a pull. A sincere fan base that gave back everything they could after being blessed and rewarded by Britney her whole career. Britney’s on her way back out!! And UP!!!!

I love Gaga so much, and I have followed her since 2009, but this is one of those rare moments when she truly talked about other artists as opnely and as freely as in here. I don’t know what happened to her, was it her massive stardom or I don’t know but she changed like from 2010 and so on, and she stoped talking about virtualy anyone, like I felt like she ignored, other artists (e.g. Katy Perry), as long as they weren’t living legends. So happy to see that she did it back then and that more recently she’s been a bit more open about other artists. PS. I love how now she’s the supportive artist she needed when no one did (though she says that Britney was in here).
she did mention in longer, deeper interviews about meeting some of the biggest stars in the industry and seeing them to be jealous, insincere, back-stabbing people that she never thought they'd be.
she also did say (about florence welch and ariana grande) that it's rare as can be to come across genuinely kind and supportive female stars who she ends up becoming real friends with.

She said Britney didn’t have to give her writing credits because they all pretend to write their music. Like the song “bang bang” Jesse j says she wrote it and then Ariana said she wrote that. None of them wrote their music just Britney was honest about it.
This is incorrect they actually wrote their own verses on Bang Bang however you are right that most of these songs are not written by themselves. For example, Toxic was offered to Kylie and she turned it down and Britney released it, same as Umbrella was recorded by Britney but Rihanna ended up with the record.

A lot of artists out there are claim to fame. They even credit themselves as co-writer of songs they didn't write. This is something that Britney doesn't do, she gives credits to whom it is due she's a real deal in the music industry. Even if she writes songs as well if it's not good enough for her she will not include it in her album. She never grabs whatever that doesn't belong to her.
