On the DVD extras there is half an hour of unused scenes sadly that is all though
Interesting discussions of Screenwriting techniques: if you rip some pages out of your notebook, make sure you get all the pieces out before doing anything else, get together every once in a while and write one line, once the script is finished, don't show it to the actors.
Who wouldn't want to work with Waititi,the man is a comedic genius...
What a great actor too, like you see him in real life and you see him on the big screen and his characters have a completely different energy from himself. I love him!

The amount that the footage was cut down is unreal. They could have made 100 different movies, all completely distinct.

I finished Hunting for the Wilderpeople before finding lots of interviews that introduced Jojo Rabbit. This is a magnificent day watching two masterpieces. WWDITS and Wellington Paranormal are the spin offs but both are brilliant if you like the NZ vibe watch Our Flag Means Death it has Rhys and Taika and it’s my obsession at the moment

Wellington Paranormal, luckily you can find all six episodes on yt :) I personally loved that series.
Also Taika was only a producer of it but Jemaine directed half of the episodes and was co-writer of the first one, if I remember correctly.

The film was OK but the TV show is hilarious. It's way funnier... to us anyway.
@Law Dorherty : Us as in my wife and I. Yeah, Nandor is a standout but they are all terrific. I even love Nadia's ghost doll. Clever hilarious stuff.
