If this can reach the drummer that'll be awesome. I just want to say to him thank you very much for being a phenomenal drum teacher (even when we had to keep it down) I'm a guitar player through and through but being able to create a song for the drum recital with him on his SG I believe it was and me on his kit. Practicing in the garage was awesome. Great memories. Thank you very much, and I appreciate all you guys and your music and I 100 percent support that you guys turned off the song and went outside, understanding you can listen to it later. Local legends. Thanks again Braydn!
Discovered this band freshman year of college back in 2010. Still frequent their discography to this day. This band left an impact on me more than any other band I think. Even incorporated their album cover into my sleeve. Music is great like that, it just stays with you through all time.
Anyone here closing out 2020 with some great music? Just found John’s solo stuff a few days ago, fell in love with it, and now backtracking thru his career. Good stuff.
I agree with Andrew. You will eventually change your mind. Even if it is "boring," it looks beautiful. You just need to understand how to appreciate it.
Oh, no wonder...I live in Washington, so I totally thought they were huge because I hear them so much. God, Anacortes...isn't Washington State stunningly beautiful?
I live in Seattle, and that isn't what THIS summer looked like! 70 and 80 degree days, for weeks. And big ups to the person mentioning The End (KNDD)! Like it. And I'll say it again, this song and this band are GOOD! Hope they have great success.
Why the hate? He/she has a really clear image about the meaning. The subject this song's about is really important. I hate when people like you cannot reply in a civilized manner. Just sad...
I still have a tshirt from them that I got with my then two best friends like almost a decade ago, easily one of my favorite moments to trek from western to eastern Washington and see these guys play in this venue called the Red Room before the venue itself shut down. Thank you lonely forest, thank you John VanDeusem. WE SING IN TIIIIIIIIIME!!!
2020 Here :)... best band I've ever heard that no one else has apparently... makes ya feel kinda special though I guess. I even ordered a custom decal from eBay for my truck, since I couldn't find any stickers or anything.
Discovering this song because of Faada Freddy's cover. While I still have a preference for Freddy's version(the first I heard and because it's an accapela version ), I really like the original. Each version give me different feelings but both are beautiful.
@axecutioner that makes sense. they are both from the same area and the lonely forest signed with Chris Walla's record company. Chris Walla plays with death cab.
@TheBeefStew22 KNDD, yes! Also, pump up this video and this group people. These guys are very good and they deserve greater recognition. As does this song and video. Aside from a couple of months on the end, there hasn't been that much coverage of this band. Give 'em a lot of support. I do. (and I'm a fan of jazz, rap, blues, hard rock)
The more I hear this, the more I'm impressed. The musicians are good, real good. Listen to the instruments. Each one of them. Yeah, they're good huh? And yes, I like the message. Yes, I like this. I don't care where they're from. (Richard in Seattle)
33rd st Anacortes 3. Loved and hated that place. Good to see the band is well. Would have to pull out the year book but pretty sure john was voted thw most likely to become famous ^^ AHS 06
i was expecting you guys to have at least a few hundred thousand views on this, i don't think they know what good music is, you guys are legit, it gave me goose bumps the first couple of times but seriously you guys are awesome and i think y'all deserve alot more publicity than just the jimmy kimmel show although you guys rocked the shit out of it. Good luck you guys, your goin to the top.
I saw them live in Seattle when they opened for another band a couple of years ago and they were great! All the guys in the band were very nice and they spent a lot of time talking with everyone and just being cool :D So happy for them!!!
Still here in 2024. Miss hanging with you guys in Bellingham
I still love this in 2021. Highly underrated band…
2023 and still agree

Filmed in the middle of nowhere in Washington, nice.
I've loved this band and song for so long. 2024.
The best song I’ve heard all year, by far
If this can reach the drummer that'll be awesome.

Finally a modern song that makes sense and is not drowned out by artificial music.
If American students were required to listen to these lyrics then i would feel much better about the future of this nation. Well done Lonely Forest.

Man, a new life goal of mine is to go on a hike and find you guys jamming in an awesome random little cabin. The Quest begins.

omg i came across this band accidentally while looking up 'Body Electric" and they're actually great!
Who's still listening in 2018?
Me, even in 2019, because of the excellent cover by Faada Freddy released in 2015. I didn't know it was a cover until today ^^
its 2019 and I still wont forget them playing this at the Vogue in chelan a decade ago. I miss them.
Miss this band. So talented!

I am speechless!
@TheBeefStew22 KNDD, yes! Also, pump up this video and this group people. These guys are very good and they deserve greater recognition. As does this song and video. They make Anacortes seem 10x more interesting than it really is.
I live in Anacortes- so sad I didn't find out about this earlier.
I havent heard much of there other stuff, but this song is so good they should be way more popular
i was expecting you guys to have at least a few hundred thousand views on this, i don't think they know what good music is, you guys are legit, it gave me goose bumps the first couple of times but seriously you guys are awesome and i think y'all deserve alot more publicity than just the jimmy kimmel show although you guys rocked the shit out of it.
