The reason why AI isn't as good as a human (and may never be) is that an AI doesn't second guess itself. An AI searching for burial mounds knows what burial mounds look like but it doesn't also know that roundabouts are a thing, humans do, so a Human will see something that looks like a burial mound but know that it's something else first before it ever gets to that point of breaking it down.

I'd love to come dig with you guys, still have all my kit even after not having dug since 2004 at Little Wittenham.. Though now my knees and back are probably past digging unfortunately. Used to love being on site from first thing in the morning (after a cup of coffee and maybe cereal in the front on my tent). The break times gave you time to contemplate what you'd dug that morning and maybe compare with the other diggers

@@Digventures lol, I never had problems with my back when I was digging, but it's been 19 years now and age catches up to us all. I actually spent a full week being in charge of the finds processing at a site in Sussex (I think because everyone hated trying to get those stupid ink pens with the split nibs to work with the white ink. Hopefully there is a better method to marking up after all these years
