- Come watch me go around Car boot sales and look for hidden gems and bargains to be able to resell online for a profit.
Today's carboot sale wasn't that great for pickups but we did capture some stalls being checked out by trading standards and even some of them had stuff taken away.
this isn't my usuall kind of video but I thought I would share my experience with you guys.

There's a lot of fake vapes out there that are dangerous so trading standards are doing their job!

Its great that Trading Standards are going and clamping down on illegal stuff, who knows what is in those vapes? And who wants to buy fake goods?
Ive had a feiend by a toy from a carboot before and it broke within an hour and cut her childs hand, it was fake. Great job by Trading Standards there!

I'd rather have them focused on places that distribute food.
Yer they go after the little guy ( rightly so by the way ) instead of going after the dodgy conner shops that sell excatly the same dodgy stuff.
Good for them doing their job and getting rid of people trying to defraud people with cheap crap and potentially dangerous goods not only for children but for the house ie fire hazards etc. The Trading standards are there for protection not for tax reasons etc. Legit sellers of new gear do not sell at car boots!!! Don't be ignorant to what they actually do.
A shop owner I know sells at bootsales. What he makes on a Sunday helps keep his shop open.
@@ramblingman8992 I understand that it might keep him afloat but there are rules about where you can sell things for a reason. If his shop isn't keeping him afloat then he should find something else?
@@ramblingman8992 plus the trading standards here are checking the products. Everything that sells in the country needs to be approved for safety reasons, you can look this up, it's pretty well known
its not that, elf bars are tobacco products so you need a court tobacco license to sell them, i had to go to court to get the license to sell tobacco in my pub years ago
@@gonnaw1n That's the stated reason but really it's to reduce the burden on the State. Tobacco is controlled because of the strain it puts on the NHS, not because it is a health lottery. Same with car seat belts. Injured kids from fake toys? Same reason plus annoyance from IP owners who may or may not contribute to an MPs pension.

Think you’ll find they are taking the Ironman, Hulk, Peppa pig etc as they are not licenced by companies.

Yeah if they don't have ce marks there putting children's life's at risk check out fake britain tv show also fake tapes. Anything could be inside them putting health at risk
Toys need CE mark or there's been no safety tests very dangerous
Plot twist they weren’t trading standards they were just out for the day in fake uniforms getting what they wanted for free😂😂
I remember when car boot sales were just people flogging off unwanted tat, these days it appears to be traders knocking out brand new tat, be it fake, dangerous or otherwise. It’s no wonder government wants digital currency to try to put a stop to traders avoiding paying income tax.

They are often about at the car boots I go to in Lincolnshire
That bloke with the blank disks reminded me of the vicar in every Agatha Christie story.
They dont like ppl selling counterfeit, stolen or dodgey goods cant blame them really and if a stall got shut down then it was for a good reason
I miss visiting my local carboot they shut it down was visited by hundreds on the weekend, it's now a green zone also.

Would love to go to a Car boot again but my local has been taken over by foreigners who don't speak English and are only interested in selling tou if they can rip you off.

I went to my first car boot yesterday, I’ve seen gipsy people from my country selling phones, no charger no box, only phones. 10000% were stolen but nobody seemed bothered 💀

Way too many stalls and too close together at bowlees ive been there a few times buying never selling ,i do like the middleton town center carpark one tho as a seller
carboots are not like they were along time ago
all the good gear is no more EBAY flippers buy alot of it
It's still there just have to be early and know what to look out for i still pick up plenty of stuff plus not just Ebayers i see other stall holders buying and then putting on their stall it's all fair game anybody can play 😂 thanks for watching
