      It's pretty much the only show that was mostly uncensored and for hours every single day. Their creativity and boredom were their biggest assets. They steered into every single train wreck. Any other show, radio or TV or anything, would avoid mishaps and try to salvage any situation into what would be their normal show. But not O&A. Something goes poorly and that's the show now, and the garbage fire of the show was best when the wheels fell off. We don't fucking listen to hear a good smooth show. We're here for fucking real life and real entertainment. That's the one thing that O&A did that kitterally no one else ever could. Ron n Fez were close, but at the end of the Day Ronny always wanted to do a smooth cool show and would steer towards that. O&A would just look at the pieces of the show that day and say "cool, good."

      The show was biggest around turn of the century. They had huge ratings and were briefly the biggest in NYC certain demos. When they got fired and had that 2 years off, they came back on a platform with hardly any subscribers. Their "golden era" of content with all the comics mid-2000s, was hardly banging the ratings.

    • @distanthope9153
      @distanthope9153 7 місяців тому +2

      Not true. Their highest ratings by far were without all the comics. When the comics came they had far less listeners, but the ones they had were extremely loyal. That is why Sirius wouldn't fire them, their subscribers were fiercely loyal and the numbers showed that. Otherwise they would have gotten rid of such a pain in the butt show.

    If not for Anthony there is no way on earth I would listen to or care about the O&A Show.
    Even with great guests like Patrice, Pat Cooper, Otto, etc.. I never would have made it through more than ten minutes of Opie, Jim, Sam and the various unlikable employees associated with the show.

    what kind of disease is that where you think a 45 minute super awkward fight you had with your co-host is only remembered as a "10 minute" argument. I find that as a red flag when you minimize anything negative if you caused it but blow up on others when they make a mistake. I just finished listening to last show with the fight and Gregg kept saying that he "felt Jimmy had a bad vibe towards" the show, which is pretty vague to me. I have to keep listening for when they really clear the air and express how they feel!!
