The biggest mystery in gaming is why they kept changing the format of the sequels.. This is easily the best game they made. It could've competed with Pokemon after some tweaks and new content
Its very confusing for new player. Such as players dont like that you need to reach certain stats to evolve your digimon to get what you want. And the most painful part is that when your digimon die you need to grind it back. They did bring it back on Digimon World Next Order which is a sequel to Digimon World 1
Maybe would have worked better if they did different names for the different genres like story world etc like they do now but then they still never properly followed this game up until it was too late to be relevant(still didn’t live up to the original anyway)
Yeah they always try new genre They made sequel but it's way too late, the fanbase already loss the interest and the sequel didn't deliver the same impact as previous game
I remember watching videos of how to get Weregarurumon in 2010, I thought no one would dare to put it in the game until you appeared, and my inner child can only tell you: Thanks.
This hack should be made official like the update that Digimon World 1 never made, I mean, it would easily be Digimon World 1 Ver 1.5 or 2.0. Great job, I would have loved to have done more for this game when I was a kid in the 2000s. Thanks for all the work and time you put into improving the game, this solves all the problems the game had when it was first released.
I almost missed a birthday party to unlock the tree content on the second day of release, I really appreciate your dedication to the patch and hope to see you develop even further changes or follow your content on whatever you decide to do in the future
Been playing this mod for the last two weeks and it's an absolute joy. Thanks again for all your hard work you put into this. Tried the Vice hardmode for the new boss battles and there sure more 😂 I'm also in love with the boosted tech mechanic. It really makes you reconsider bringing alternative techs to the regular Ice Statue/Megalo Spark standard (although it feels like basically everyone can learn Megalo Spark now lmao). The double improved stat gain (the highest option you can choose) basically makes regular training facilities obsolete, but it makes maxing stats such a breeze too. That paired with the useful item Steak from the vending machine makes it pretty easy to complete the Digimon chart without painfully cycling through multiple days just to switch digimons. That steak is really awesome and should have been part of the base game.
by making playable machinedramon and weregarurumon, our bro have made most of digimon fans childhood dreams come true 1980 : on 2024 there will be flying cars 2024 : nah screw what we got machinedramon and weregarurumon on digimon world PS1, no contest
You have done so much for the community, Im truly grateful for that. Herc.Kabuterimon is my favorite here, and being able to fight it brings me much enjoyment! Thanks!
That fix is actually just changing one byte (if you mean the colours), if it is to warp you to it and the items/digimon/battles... That's a different story... Those are new
Amazing mod! Almost everything I've dreamed about for this game! That said not asking for these things, just some ideas I have, for impoving some of the game's other mechanics: In particular Fishing, Curling, Digimon Cards, the Shop minigame and Fortune Telling. 1)I love fishing in this game, but it is a bit hard for most people and a lot of the information in the game is very hidden, so I thin making the line just about 20% "tougher" (slower to reach the breaking points= and maybe adding an NPC that tells you about what each Fish likes for baits could help a lot. In particular, I picture something like a friendly Modoki Betamon or friendly RedVegiemon in the North Lake map who gives you info about Baits and maybe asks for Digisnapper in exchange of Rare Digimon Cards? Also, I think it'd be nice if Seadramon had a favorite bait like Black Trouts or Digicatfish. 2)Curling is also very infamous in the game because you need great RNG for getting ideal disks to play, but what if the disks you get changed depending on what Fish you give Penguinmon/Metalmamemon? I think that'd remove a bit of the RNG aspect from curling and make it more enjoyable. 3) Getting Digimon Cards from the town's game machine is a bit annoying because you often only get cards for the Filth 4 (Sukanmon, Numemon, Namimon and Vegiemon) and they quickly overrun your inventory, but what if the Sukamon that joins the city collected cards of the Filth 4 and gave you Mushrooms or some other item (probably nothing very expensive or it'd lead to a Mojyamon-like loop) in exchange? And adding Card Collector NPCs to parts of the game that end up a bit empty after you finish them but that you still traverse could be nice in general. Stuff like the Drill Tunnel Entrance, the Bridge, the Vademon part of Mt Panorama, Penguinmons' Cave, etc. could maybe use some NPC in the post game or after the recruitment is done. And it'd be a good way to distribute some of the rarer items like Digipines. 4) The Shop Minigame is just kinda annoying, but what if it was shorter and gave some stats? Something like 220 MP and 22 Brains and the minigame lasted just 4 hours. I think that'd be a bit more acceptable use of a Rookie's time. Maybe make it so the threshold for recruiting Monochromon is also a tiny bit lower, like 3100 bits or something like that. And maybe you could make it so after Monochromon is gone a Vermiliomon cousin takes over the Shop? 5) Fortune Telling is a bit useless in the current game, but I think it'd be a ton better if you also learned what the Digimon would digivolve into at the time, if it were to Digivolve, or at least a hint about that. Also, I am a huge fan of Special Digivolutions, and completing the Champions chart in this game for the Medal is always a bit of a hazzle, so how about more Special Champion-to-Champion sideevolutions? Maybe Nanimon could become Ninjamon if they battle 50 times and have high discipline or Frigimon, Garurumon, and Mojyamon can digivolve into Panjyamon if you have 100 battles (and that mod)? And getting Nanimon always makes me feel a bit bad, so perhaps a Rookie could have a chance to become into Nanimon if it sleeps in the Factorial Town sewer? Or 50% Numemon/50% Nanimon. Oh, and I think it'd be really, really cool if the Monzaemon suit in Jijimon's House worked like the one in Toy Town.
1) better fishing already exist, with a spreadsheet that gives all the data you need. 2) It would make it too easy... I made a randomizer for that one to make it more interesting at least... 3) Better cards already exists. 4) It is part of the base hack and there is even an option to lower it even more. 5) That would be not only difficult, there is not enough space to put all of that. As for the others, not enough code and Nanimon is supposed to be a punishment like Numemon... Also, while I could make that Monzaemon suit work... That would be too convenient in my opinion...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Oh. Alright. Thank you! It is even closer to what I've wanted in a mod, then. For fishing, I meant explanation in-game. I know most of the baits well, but I think players get annoyed by having to search the answers online, so an NPC who could answer questions about fishing could help them and even raise curiosity about stuff the NPC doesnt explain. For the cards, I did not mean it exactly as better card pulls, but more NPCs that wanted some cards, so you can feel more confortable throwing money in cards, and also so the world felt a bit less emptied once you complete your quest. Traveling the Digimon world after you finish the game sometimes feels sad because a lot of maps are empty. I think adding more NPCs that trade cards could improve that a little bit and also motivate the player to roam around in the postgame. And I had not imagined that the fortune telling would be difficult. Sorry then. Wont insist there. I agree that Nanimon is probably meant to be a Punishment, but the way he is now he feels more like an Easter Egg where you kinda have to be extraordinarily mean to your Digimon, since you actually kinda have to go out of your way to get a Digimon to 0 Happiness and Discipline, and also still scold them while in that state is something few would consider. And I don't think it is an easter egg that feels too good to pull off. So maybe then losening the conditions a bit? Like scolding the Rookie while Happiness and Discipline are below 40% and Weight at 1? (and at 0% regardless of weight) Maybe that'd work? It'd still require unnatural Rookie abuse but not as much. I guess it would probably nullify all the drawbacks of having a Numemon. But what if there was some other conditon? Maybe your Numemon also needs to have won 20-30 Battles to use the Suit at Jijimon's House? Maybe otherwise Numemon says he "doesnt feel worthy" or something like that?
Late reply: Both of the request require me to expand the script, which is not possible at this stage. There is also an explanation about the fishing minigame in a game (a short one) and part of it is to find yourself which bait works... The cards are also pretty useful with the better merit patch, since it lets you get a lot of items for those, so the money is not wasted in repeated cards, even the trash cards can be useful if you sell them... more NPC that trade cards may seem useful at first, but it would also make it kinda... useless after you get all the cards. Nanimon is not that difficult to get... if you keep running away from battles, your happiness and discipline will reach 0 very easily... and that can happen a lot... If you start also to add requirements to the Monzaemon suit in Jijimon's house, it will make it useless, since a natural evolution would be faster then...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Oh. That is fine. Definitely won't push on anything that you believe would take too much effort. You've already done a wonderful job and many of us have dreamed of a mod like yours for decades now! Yeah, fishing is kinda explained but I think the explanation is not quite enough. for example, players could learn that there is bait that fish really love and will chase to the shore, for example. I often watch people streaming this game and most miss those sort of details because they only fish with either meats or digimushrooms. Yeah, you can trade the cards to ShogunGeckomon, but he is at least 1 Birdra flight and some 5-6 screens away, so it is often not really that worthwhile to see him just to give him the very common cards. But if Sukamon in town bought/traded those, then you could get rid of those extras immediately and save some time, making the gacha machine a bit less painful to use. Yeah, it is true these Card Trading NPCs would be mostly useless after completing the card collection, but the game contains a lot of screens that are mostly useless as well after you recruit the Digimon in them, as well as some mostly useless recruits. And the card collection is just not a very fun sidequest in the game right now. You mostly save/Mojyatrade a ton of money and then throw it at the Savannah Shop once you have some 100 thousand bits, then never care about the cards again. But if say, there was a Muchomon in Birdra Nest who traded you rare Ultimate cards for Bird Digimon cards, a Tinmon who traded some non-Metal Digimon cards for Metal versions of those cards, 2 Tsukaimon in Grey Lord's Mansion who traded Myotismon for Megadramon and viceversa, a Psychemon in Mt Panorama who traded you Phoenixmon for a Vademon card or visiting him accompanied of Vademon as your partner, a J-Mojyamon in Amida Forest who wanted meats of different qualities for different rare nature cards, etc. I think it might feel a bit more like a proper sidequest that could be tackled with even spending just a couple hund bits and then trading up. If you do want to get Nanimon and know how, yeah, running repeteadly from battles is a way to do it. But it is not really something that'd happen unintentionally, and still "feels" to me like situations where you kinda have to be neglecting the Digimon on purpose for it to happen, imo. You have to do it with a Rookie and most of the areas meant to be explored by Rookies are relatively safe. Escaping 8+ times in those areas would be rare, when you tend to have Gyms close. And then, you have to scold your Digimon once the Happiness/Discipline reaches zero. I don't think that is an action most players would think of. Well, it'd be just a matter of balancing the requirements so it feels like a reward for completing that sidequest, but doesnt make it just the always preferable choice when getting Numemon. The requirements to don the suit, should be different from just natural Digivolution into Monzaemon, but probably still require at least 50% of the time, imo. Something like that. And thank you again!
Thank you so much for making this hack, the quality-of-life stuff alone would have made this a must-download for me but the the fact that you even managed to include new raisable Digimon is just amazing! One thing I was wondering though, would it be possible to fix Cherrymon's training? iirc it's pretty weird in the base game, giving you the exact same stat gains as the classroom at Green Gym, down to even getting the Kuwaga/Kabuteri boost if you've recruited them. I always assumed that was a bug/oversight and it was intended to work like the other "out of the way" training facilities, only increasing Brains a lot instead of increasing both Brains and MP a moderate amount.
Except for the last part and the optional digimon, all of that was just the main hack... I'm not giving ROMs to anyone, you have to patch that yourself, either with the installer or manually.
Need to add sukamon to the remodel, platnumsukamons all around hahaha. Seriously though, always wanted someone to make an update for this game, never ever thought I'd see it. If you told kid me this would happen I'd have never believed it 20 years ago haha.
On the tech expansion, could you merge yanmamon and sandyanmamons techniques please? I like having them as partners but they know only a few techniques only. No problem at all if not of course. 😅
Question : after applying the patch it seems that the screen becomes buggy, the pathing of the character and the ground is incorrect.. like everything seem to be pushed to the right side, How do i fix this ?
I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the hack at all... Do you have by any change a "wide-screen hack" applied? Because this game does not support that...
There's no way to have Myotismon and Machinedramon at the same time? would be really awesome if we could just get both, and more digimons to get added, like having access to Gotsumon and his evolution line, goblimon, tentomon, hagurumon, Flarelizamon, warumonzaemon and well pretty much every digimon and even make ones like mastertyrannomon playable, just like you can get access to them via gamesharks but like in the game itself.
While you can access those with gameshark, you can see that most of them are not functional and will crash the game depending on what you do... There is no simple way to add both at the same time, the "easiest" one would be to remove either H-kabuterimon, MegaSeadramon, Weregarurumon, Gigadramon or MetalEtemon in exchange of Myotismon... and this method would not work with Machinedramon.
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd How about removing Metal Etemon to put Myotismon in his place? Better to lose the metal monkey then Machinedramon if we have to pick one hehe
Hey, about the chart: Is it posible to change the background of the new digimon to be orange instead of green? I get that their position can only fit there, but change the background image so that the orange extends a little on that last roll.
Absolutely love this, what a great idea. Played the original Vice mod and will definitely replay this one One ask - similar to others have asked, any chance of a future update adding other digimon in? I assume there's a hard limit of the extra 4 digimon, but clearly you can replace some entries, so it'd be really fun for you to replace a lot of the old digimon (like whamon, shellmon, frigimon, mojyamon) etc with other models like tankmon, toy agumon, flarizamon, goburimon, yanmamon, ottamamon, tentomon etc. Even replacing some rookies and digivolution lines like swapping agumon for snowagumon etc. That would be really fun to do a brand new play through with all the availble digimon swapped about with the other unobtainable mons in game
Due to how the game work... that is only possible if I replace the models/textures with the others... which would make the patch carry models and that is not good...
GIGA EPIC!!! Now all is left is MegaSeadramon with Thunder Justice (it can't not be there here!!!) AND all the secondary/enemy Digimons obtainable AND no more secrets from that one...!!!!
Hey, I was thinking, would it be posible to remove the baby stage and start with the in training? It's a pointless stage as it has only one posible evolution no matter what you do. That would liberate 4 slots to include panjamon and myotismon on top of Were and Manchine.
If I can, I would like to, but I don't know what the future awaits... Stuff like new maps, increasing the amount of playable digimon, more boss battles... At the same time that is a huge amount of work which may takes years... And since I work alone, I may end up just fed up with all of that if I have to keep and keep doing the same stuff...
Would it be possible to have more digimon to raise somehow? Like toy agumon, tankmon, gotsumon, guardromon, etc...? Being able to raise any digimon in the game would be the ultimate goal. I know it wouldnt expand the gameplay much, but just for the sake of completion/collectionism. I wanna raise them all. I understand theres probably some constraints that dont allow the extra digimons without replacing others, thus the myotismon case. But could those be overcome in the foreseeable future?
Possible? yes Too much work? That too, and it would be absurd, since those digimon also need animations... That ignoring all of the code changes necessary to made them playable...
Hi I'm just wondering how to quick check if you patch the game properly? I ticked the short intro patch but the opening video is still playing, so does this mean i fail to patch it or put the wrong version of the game?
The intro video still plays even with the "short intro" patch, but the dialogue at the start, when Jijimon starts the explanation, will be pretty different...
i recently did a new save with your mod and beaten Machindramon to test it and try some of the optional patches, now im completing my first save i did with maeson's mod with yours, im just missing the 10 years and 100 tournaments medals, and i will do another save with your mod, i would really love if you could make optional patches to swap Kunemon for Tentomon, i like Kunemon but Tentomon is just better in my opinion, and another patch to swap Elecmon for Goburimon, i really like Elecmon too but having Goburimon would be a nice change, his Digivolutions could be Ogremon, Ninjamon, Meramon and Leomon/Devimon, or it could also be Ogremon, Nanimon, Numemon and Sukamon, it would be a perfect Rookie for the filth challenge, sorry for the long commentary and for asking for such things when many others might be asking you for things to add but i really love what you did for the game so thank you very much for your hard work
There is a bit of info in my Github, there is Uzuhenry tutorial and there is also the digimon modding community discord (the link can be found in SydMontague DSCSTools repository).
I have installed the patch, this is the greatest mod ever made, however, some features I think don't work, the restore ultimate lifespan for an example I checked the restore option but it is always 8 days after getting an ultimate not 4, or did you change how lifespan is calculated after evolving.
Does the txt with all the patches has that option there? because there is always a chance it was not checked... Are the ultimates living unitl they become 23 then?
No they live till 18 or 19,but I evolved at 10, in vanilla the life span is calculated from the day I evolved from champion, is the 4 days extension is addded to the regular 15 days even if I evolved earlier? Yes it checked in the txt file
What the evolution to ultimate does is to add 4 days of lifespan to your current lifespan. That's how it works. A digimon can live a maximum of 15 days, if it evolves to ultimate, it adds 4 days, so it can live up to 19 days. My hack adds 8 days, so in the hack it can live up to 23 days. If you evolve again to ultimate (with Factorial town or by becoming a Sukamon, then going back or a special evolution...), more days will be added.
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd thanks a lot bro, it now makes sense, although I remember in the vanilla it was calculated based from the day it is evolved to ultimate.
No, it is not at all. You can test that yourself in the vanilla game if you want. Also, evolution items do not increase the timer, so that may be what got you confused.
Myotismon now has finisher? How does it looks like? And I really liked actual new digimon than just palette swapping since digimon slot is a thing here
@@Nan_94 Yeah, details. My point is that the Mytismon opitional patch should replace Metal Etemon If It has to replace something. Better to lose Metal Etemon rather then Machinedramon.
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd no i use only your patcher and the mod from your site no maeson or vanilla or other stuff no matter what i use the hardcore mod or the other normal mod i cant get it to work. jijimon is not speaking to me game freezes and when i enter other are game crashes or freeze i dont know what i make wrong i have windows 10 i use dukstation newest update i use the right bios and all :( was exited but cant play it but hope u make more for this game its nice to see people like u care for this game i came to the country where i living in the year 98 the game was great its my childhood :P keep it up vice
Mod from my site? You patch it with Vice 2.0 and that is all. If you want to add hardcore, you do it from inside the Vice 2.0 installer. Don't try to patch multiple times the same bin with the installer or it will break... Also, make sure it is the USA version, any PAL version will not work neither the japanese one.
Hey! First of all thanks for The hard work! The Game looks amazing and I can't wait to give it a try. I just have one question: Is there a way to play this in the Duckstation Android version? I don't spent Lot of time at Home and would like to play on My cellphone. Keep me posted and thank You very much again!
I've discovered 2 new bugs. (Played on android with duckstation) 1. Def. Chip just keep spawning in the inventory non-stop each time I open the inventory screen, wasting 1 space 2. If you used autopilot, the game just freezes/stucked
That sounds like a cheat code is causing problems... You're the only one that has reported that error and I have seen a lot of people play this hack...
Yes, the amount of playable digimon is a fixed value, increasing that is very difficult (short explanation, there's actually quite a bit more involved).
I'm curious, was the WereGarurumon model ported over from DW2 or Digital Card Battle, then retooled with Leomon's animations? Cause that's the only thing I can think of to make him work in DW1. They do use the same game engine, after all,so it would make sense. Either way, I find it very fascinating.
None of those, Pocket Digimon World. The card battle one is pretty different from the World 2 model too... I has an inspiration on Leomon's animations, but the animations themselves are pretty different (in how they work) and it has some completely unique ones.
Had to look up Pocket Digimon World cause I never knew it existed. Quite interesting tbh. Makes me wonder if other Digimon can be brought over from there or other sources and into DW1. Just a thought. On another note, this mod has really caught my interest. I do have to ask, though, if this is compatible with emulators like RetroArch, as that's the only one I've familiarized myself with. If not, that's okay. I'll definitely want to try this mod in the future, as I'm always looking for new ways to play DW1.
If I'm not wrong, retroarch uses Mednafen... You will need to disable the ECC check on that emulator, so the game works without problems, otherwise it is possible it will crash at some point.
Ty for your work. For some reason the patch seems to not apply to my game no matter how many times I patch it , and it tells me that , in fact it was patched, Im clueless could you give me a hand?
Hi Vice! Does any of this new features change any requirement to obtain the medals? I mean, are the new digimons requireds to obtain "Raised every digimon" medal? Is the Royal Grade a requirement to obtain all medals?
@@tgtterrorizor3407 Yeah, I think not only that, but the method to actually reshape the Digivolution chart would be a couple steps higher in overall complexity than the changes that have mostly been introduced so far. Many of the changes have, thus far, been of relatively minor edits of existing data. Porting WereGarurumon and granting animations to this and to Machinedramon represent a step above mere edits, and that's a time consuming step.
Changing the chart to include those 3 already took a lot of effort, making those be in the Ultimate part would require me to completely rewrite the entire chart code (all of that is not a pre-rendered image, it is drawn with code). And I would love if those were minor edits... A few of them required either new functions or to rewrite entire functions... Well, anything code related can be considered complicated since I cannot insert data, the best I can do is to figure out how to adjust it...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd It depends on when he looked. I also searched for mods at the start of last year and there were none. Then came Maeson and Vice hehe
Hi, I have a question, I can't stop myself from evolving into Numemon. I've changed all the stats, even the minimum required ones, and it always evolves into Numemon. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it something that's in the patch and I haven't read it?
The filth challenge is at the bottom of those options and it is the only way I can see why you keep getting a Numemon. Check the txt with the patches just in case.
I'm hesitant to ask as I know this project has already been a lot of work, and people just asking things can be a bother. But is it withing the scope of possibility there will be a future optional patch that allows Machinedramon to use equip all techs? I always felt that as the OG "perfected" Digimon, he would have been able to learn and use any and all techs.
It is completely impossible, each digimon has a limit of 15 techniques and 1 finisher. It would be basically rewrite how everything works to make that idea work...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd What a shame, but it does make sense. Older games usually have limits like those build in for one reason or another. Likely hardware related. That does explain why the ultimates were upgraded in Vice to have 15 tech's specifically.
@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd idk if it be completely impossible one of my favorite games pirates of the carribean original game couldn't sail to islands directly game engine limitation the people behind the new horizons mod made it where you could do that in the game despite the engine limitation granted this mod was in development for a very very long time so truthfully I don't thank anything is really impossible when it comes to modding a game it just depends on how much time and effort a person really wants to put into it
And that is why I said it would require to rewrite the entire game to make that work (well, not everything, a few things don't need changes). It is impossible without that.
Hi! I was playing digimon Vice yesterday, was great. But at some point i figure out that my battles wasnt consuming time at all, and i wanted to take 1 hour of my day as it suppose. Which patch was creating this feauture so i can remove it? Or it was some kind of bug? Thanks for your effort!
The video already explains that there are 4 starters to choose from, so just select a different answer and see what you get... Either that or check the spreadsheet to see which answer/patch gives the rookie you want.
Vice, a question, is it possible to modify the game so instead of having 3 techniques equipped, increase it to 4? I would find this interesting because when we use a technique like the Muscle Charger for example, there are only 2 slots left for attack techniques, and I think that's not enough, I believe that 4 slots would be perfect for this game. I just wanted to know if this is possible and if you've already thought about this possibility, I'm not asking you to do it, I think you deserve to rest hahaha
I would need to remake the entire battle system and to put a lot more restrictions for that to work... And even with that I'm not sure, since the game is very likely to crash due to a lack of memory in some battles
Only obtainable with either cheats or glitches in the non-Japanese version (and even the Japanese version needed an extra disc for these evolutions). Now those are obtainable as regular evolutions and the evolution items are also something you can obtain normally.
Kinda complicated since this is not my IP... It can be taken as me making profit out of Digimon itself and taken down with the project... I'm not even making anything from UA-cam or something like that...
great mod but sadly no shiny digimons ,or an tentomon ,if u play dgw 1 with cheats u can aslo get etemon in metal, gigadramon etc, ultra kabuterimon(red one) would be awesome a red agumon maybe idk ,the real only new thing is wheregaruru. i whish there were a complete new evolution tree for a new adventure. blue, red aguman ,dark greymon, idk gold metal greymon .something like this . i played this game toooo much for having only 1 new evolve ,but hey maybe u are going to something crazy bigger.new story areas would be nice i mean u put a shortcut in the mount infinity do u cant add a complete new area? idk why people love machinedramon its an tank that seems too powerful ,boring powerful. i would pay 100 dollars for coop hahah omg black angemon or magna angemon holy i remember in DGW3 i was fall in love with black seraphimon
Hasn't it changed? By chance, using only cheat, does Machinedramon have animations for eating, training, sleeping, going to the bathroom, etc.? Don't you have it? Can you get Machinedramon, M. Etemon, Gigadramon etc.. training? Neither. Metal Etemon here has his own techniques, he also uses Metal for example, and in the cheat? no right? These are just a few examples I mentioned of how different Vice Hack is to any Gameshark.
The result of your work was incredible. Regarding bugs, I didn't see in the list about Toyagumon in Toytown that crashes the game. Did you forget about this bug?
That's a Clear Agumon, not a Toy Agumon. It does not even crash the game, it just keeps spamming that textbox... You can technically open the menu in between textboxes and feed your digimon or something until it goes away... Also: github.com/Vicen04/Dw1DataAndPatches/wiki/Bugs,-glitches,-exploits-and-improvements#blue-meramon-text--clear-agumon-text-fix

hindsight is 20/20. But they didn´t understand it anyways, Digimon World Next Order could´ve been good, but they forgot the soul
They probably were trying different stuff to see if something becomes a big hit... And the game is kinda complicated tbh...
You´re the king of my childhood. Thank you very much for this hack and the possibility zu play with Weregarurumon as a partner. :)
If I had known about this I would definitely had played your hack. Maybe in the future.
The first Digimon You need to beat being Greymon is wild 💀
If Digimon World 1 have DLC then this mod are the results, spectacular work 👍
This all feels like a dream come true! Like old internet rumors about the game are real now! Thank you so much for this ❤️
I almost missed a birthday party to unlock the tree content on the second day of release, I really appreciate your dedication to the patch and hope to see you develop even further changes or follow your content on whatever you decide to do in the future
There not a single day I am not proud of you and how far you made it and even more with your hack, bro. ❤
You are truly making me happy
Such a passionate programmer
I respect you a lot
Thank you as always
This is such a great project, it always made me so angry that the werewold wasnt in this game!
Thank you so much for doing this
You the man Vice...
this is so good man
truly so outstanding work
everything is better than before...
so many new things and improvements, thanks for your hard work on this!
Thank you so much for keeping this wonderful game alive!
Been playing this mod for the last two weeks and it's an absolute joy. Thanks again for all your hard work you put into this.
Tried the Vice hardmode for the new boss battles and there sure more 😂
I'm also in love with the boosted tech mechanic.
Can warumonzaemon be available in some new patch?
I completed the game on your previous patch version but in the future I will definitely play it again on your latest patch.
I love it, thanks for all your hard work ❤
by making playable machinedramon and weregarurumon, our bro have made most of digimon fans childhood dreams come true
1980 : on 2024 there will be flying cars
2024 : nah screw what we got machinedramon and weregarurumon on digimon world PS1, no contest
cant wait next update.
I have proven this (in my youtube channel) and I recommend it.
this is a masterpiece.
thanks for your hardwork...
You have done so much for the community, Im truly grateful for that. Herc.Kabuterimon is my favorite here, and being able to fight it brings me much enjoyment! Thanks!
Love it, cant wait to play it
You're the goat Vice!

Here you dropped this
I can't believe you can fix the MT Panorama spore area unused map!
That fix is actually just changing one byte (if you mean the colours), if it is to warp you to it and the items/digimon/battles... That's a different story... Those are new
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Yes, I mean that color 😄
Late reply:
Both of the request require me to expand the script, which is not possible at this stage.
This is what I need to end 2024, there's something magical about unlike the sequel this game have soul
You're right, it is an oversight... There is code to only increase the brains but it is never activated...
And the fix is pretty easy...
This is amazing.
HOLY FUCK OBTAINABLE MUGENDRAMON????
I NEED TO GET THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!

Question : is there a link to a single rom that contains all of the patches mentioned in the video ?
Except for the last part and the optional digimon, all of that was just the main hack...
I'm not giving ROMs to anyone, you have to patch that yourself, either with the installer or manually.
wow myotismon, even with idle animation and standing .gg
oh yeah i kinda forgot , myotismon exist in arena.
The arena version is also smaller than the Mansion version
I tell you, i try this hack yesterday and it was very fun, feels like a new game. The Coelamon fight surprise me xD
Keep cooking dude 😁👍
Aslo did you get the modal of weregarurumon from digimon card battle or digimon world 2
Pocket Digimon World
I stopped and searched what is pocket digimon world is
And I saw the openings gummon and ikkakumon and I was on my knees
Thanks for putting me on this
Need to add sukamon to the remodel, platnumsukamons all around hahaha.
That is something I made for the filth challenge, Platinum Sukamon is playable with that patch.
Is there a link of updated digivolution requirement ?
I just saw garurumon digivolve to mamemon, AFAIK it's not possible in original version
And it is not possible in my version either, the evolutions are the same except for the new digimon.
Question : after applying the patch it seems that the screen becomes buggy, the pathing of the character and the ground is incorrect.. like everything seem to be pushed to the right side,
How do i fix this ?
I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the hack at all...
Do you have by any change a "wide-screen hack" applied? Because this game does not support that...
@ yes i had it on, i disabled the "wide-screen" and it fixed the problem, thank you so much!
Ima down load this today
That would be complicated...
Absolutely love this, what a great idea. Played the original Vice mod and will definitely replay this one
One ask - similar to others have asked, any chance of a future update adding other digimon in?
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd It's a pitty that new digimon can only replace, not add =/
Peak
Sometimes at the end of a battle there will be a notification about MP cost -10, what does it do specifically?
Reduces the MP cost of the techniques you use by a percentage, which is the value there.
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Cool stuff!
will Magaangemon be added ?
GIGA EPIC!!! Now all is left is MegaSeadramon with Thunder Justice (it can't not be there here!!!) AND all the secondary/enemy Digimons obtainable AND no more secrets from that one...!!!!
Check the spreadsheet...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd I don't follow...(checked that)
MegaSeadramon has Thunder Justice
Hey, I was thinking, would it be posible to remove the baby stage and start with the in training? It's a pointless stage as it has only one posible evolution no matter what you do. That would liberate 4 slots to include panjamon and myotismon on top of Were and Manchine.
The game does not work like that... At the current stage, that is not possible.
@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Pitty, that would be a good way of going around the limitation
Um digimon que poderia ser inserido sem perca seria skullmeramon do digimon world 2
Do you plan to make more updates? What kind of updates do you plan?
If I can, I would like to, but I don't know what the future awaits...
Stuff like new maps, increasing the amount of playable digimon, more boss battles... At the same time that is a huge amount of work which may takes years... And since I work alone, I may end up just fed up with all of that if I have to keep and keep doing the same stuff...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd So, is there any possibility of adding a new map with a patch?
Not with a patch, I would need to make an entire program to modify the game if I want to add big stuff without replacing the old one...
They need to hire you to remaster the game
Considering how the games industry works... I'm not sure how that would end up...
Possible? yes
Too much work? That too, and it would be absurd, since those digimon also need animations... That ignoring all of the code changes necessary to made them playable...
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd The ones that are recolor can use the same animation as the original?
No, those have less animations to save memory.
why i didnt find this 25 years ago? 🤣
Which stats required for weregarurumon and for machinedramon ??
Check the spreadsheet on the description
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Thanks a lot really
Hi I'm just wondering how to quick check if you patch the game properly? I ticked the short intro patch but the opening video is still playing, so does this mean i fail to patch it or put the wrong version of the game?
The intro video still plays even with the "short intro" patch, but the dialogue at the start, when Jijimon starts the explanation, will be pretty different...
i recently did a new save with your mod and beaten Machindramon to test it and try some of the optional patches, now im completing my first save i did with maeson's mod with yours, im just missing the 10 years and 100 tournaments medals, and i will do another save with your mod, i would really love if you could make optional patches to swap Kunemon for Tentomon, i like Kunemon but Tentomon is just better in my opinion, and another patch to swap Elecmon for Goburimon, i really like Elecmon too but having Goburimon would be a nice change, his Digivolutions could be Ogremon, Ninjamon, Meramon and Leomon/Devimon, or it could also be Ogremon, Nanimon, Numemon and Sukamon, it would be a perfect Rookie for the filth challenge, sorry for the long commentary and for asking for such things when many others might be asking you for things to add but i really love what you did for the game so thank you very much for your hard work
All of those lack a lot of stuff to make them playable and the method I use for Machinedramon/Myotismon only works on 1 digimon at the time.
9:40 This should have been in the main game. Not sure why we never came across Phoenixmon or MegaSeadramon as recruits or to serve other purposes
I can kinda imagine Phoenixmon and H-kabuterimon were last minute inclusions... WaruSeadramon more or less works as MegaSeadramon
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd H-Kabuterimon at least is in the Beetle Cup in Beetle Land.
How do you hack the game? I'd really love to learn and do some myself or help in the future
And I really liked actual new digimon than just palette swapping since digimon slot is a thing here
A dark thunder justice
@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd not bad, I guess weregarurumon didn't use glacial blast here
Instead of replacing Machinedramon, Mytismon could replace Metal Etemon thats just a recolor.
Also, how about the increased age and better Evolution itens so that they they increase the stats and dont reduce the life span?
Metaletemon isn't just a recolor did you watch the video at all?
@@เด็กพเนจร-ฝ4ษ I meant his model...
There are differences in its model, but it is something more subtle. panjyamon yes it is just recolor
@@Nan_94 Yeah, details. My point is that the Mytismon opitional patch should replace Metal Etemon If It has to replace something.

You can either patch the game in your computer and transfer it to your phone... Or patch it in your phone with Unipatcher and the standalone version.
I've discovered 2 new bugs. (Played on android with duckstation)
1. Def. Chip just keep spawning in the inventory non-stop each time I open the inventory screen, wasting 1 space
2. If you used autopilot, the game just freezes/stucked
That sounds like a cheat code is causing problems... You're the only one that has reported that error and I have seen a lot of people play this hack...
Is it not possible to have all the added digimon without replacing through the optional patches?
Not for now, it may be possible in the future (not soon)
@@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd Cool! Is it due to any limitations in the original rom? (Just curious) :)
You will need to disable the ECC check on that emulator, so the game works without problems, otherwise it is possible it will crash at some point.
is there a way to run this mod on mobile ps1 emulators? or just windows?
It is still a PS1 game, it will run in almost any PS1 emulator... Some may have issues
Ty for your work. For some reason the patch seems to not apply to my game no matter how many times I patch it , and it tells me that , in fact it was patched, Im clueless could you give me a hand?
Where are you saving the patched file?
Hi Vice!
Does any of this new features change any requirement to obtain the medals?
I mean, are the new digimons requireds to obtain "Raised every digimon" medal?
Is the Royal Grade a requirement to obtain all medals?
No, the requirements are still the same.
Why is metaletemon on the champion section in the digivolution chart?
No room in the Ultimate section, I imagine.
I was looking for mods for this game last year didn’t see anything

@DigimonworldVice-yi9fd ow okay. So I suppose we'll never truly know what kaminarimon looks like... TT
Hi, I have a question, I can't stop myself from evolving into Numemon. I've changed all the stats, even the minimum required ones, and it always evolves into Numemon. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it something that's in the patch and I haven't read it?

next waru monzarmon and whamon big size version pleaseee😊😊😊🎉❤
Battles do not take 1 hour, those only take 20 min. That is how the game works in vanilla too.
Can't we start with Gabumon now?
When selecting night I always get Elecmon T.T
And even with that I'm not sure, since the game is very likely to crash due to a lack of memory in some battles
a patch to nerf heal items could be interesting, those disk are broken af
There is a patch to disable those in battles, and there are also self-imposed challenges I guess...
Wait... Gigadramon and Metaletemon were in the original game... Just hard to obtain
Only obtainable with either cheats or glitches in the non-Japanese version (and even the Japanese version needed an extra disc for these evolutions).
Now those are obtainable as regular evolutions and the evolution items are also something you can obtain normally.
Can you make a Patreon so I can donate to you and your efforts?
Kinda complicated since this is not my IP... It can be taken as me making profit out of Digimon itself and taken down with the project...
I'm not even making anything from UA-cam or something like that...
I get panjyamon from the original version
Did you apply by any chance, either an old version of Vice or the Panjyamon patch?
PvP online!!????
great mod but sadly no shiny digimons ,or an tentomon ,if u play dgw 1 with cheats u can aslo get etemon in metal, gigadramon etc, ultra kabuterimon(red one) would be awesome a red agumon maybe idk ,the real only new thing is wheregaruru. i whish there were a complete new evolution tree for a new adventure. blue, red aguman ,dark greymon, idk gold metal greymon .something like this . i played this game toooo much for having only 1 new evolve ,but hey maybe u are going to something crazy bigger.new story areas would be nice i mean u put a shortcut in the mount infinity do u cant add a complete new area? idk why people love machinedramon its an tank that seems too powerful ,boring powerful. i would pay 100 dollars for coop hahah omg black angemon or magna angemon holy i remember in DGW3 i was fall in love with black seraphimon
There is no ToyAgumon that crashes the game...

That's a Clear Agumon, not a Toy Agumon. It does not even crash the game, it just keeps spamming that textbox... You can technically open the menu in between textboxes and feed your digimon or something until it goes away...
