I absolutely cannot believe I just watched a tutorial on how to make these beautiful trees! Love, love, love. I’d be so happy if I could make these in different or sparkly colors! Thank you SO much!
This is amazing!! I can't tell you how many times I've bought trees with the plan to bleach and dye them pretty colors but the fiber isn't natural sisal so it won't bleach! I'm so over it. Next year I'm using this tutorial to make my own!!
I love love love the bottle brush tree forest! Martha Stewart made a wreath using small versions with houses and people, etc several years ago. It was on the cover of her magazine. The trees were dyed different colors. But Martha did not make her own trees. I love this DIY
Thank you for taking the time and expending the effort to help educate us to this. I was disappointed at the prices of the bottle brush trees at my favorite Mackenzie-Childs. After viewing your tutorial I am delighted and excited to do this. It does appear as a wonderfully fun and productive thing to do.
I love bottle brush trees but can never find the sizes I need! This is amazing and so simple! They look fabulous! Thank you, thank you! Now I can make just what I need, all thanks to you!

I made some using sisal rope. Cut off a 12" piece, untwisted it and made 10 trees. Dip in ritz green dye for desired color.
Thank you for this tip! I'm wanting navy blue without the staggering price tag. You've definitely saved my day!
