I recently saw Placebo a year ago. It had been 20 years since i saw them live. In comparison, I had a much better experience back in 2003. I think this was b/c Placebo still had a relatively small catalog, so I got to hear most of my favorite songs. Jump to 2023; the magic was still there, however Placebo did not play anything from "Without You, I'm Nothing," and only Bionic from their debut album. I was shocked that Placebo dis not perform 36 Degrees, Teenage Angst, Every You Every Me, Pure Morning, Burger Queen, Black Eyed and many other of their older songs. Instead they nearly played "Never Let Me Go" in its entirety. I get marketing your newest album, however i was upset that Placebo decided to play covers of "Shout" and their played to death live version of "Running Up that Hill" rather than a couple older songs for their veteran Placebo listeners. And since i am a bigger fan of their earlier work, i was a bit disappointed. Still a great show though.
